jo3design's Interests
|
| General | I love to get involved in things that make a difference to my life and to the lives of the ones I care about. Whether it's a humanitarian project, or for personal pleasure, I try to radiate positive energy with whatever I decide to do. One of my favorite things to do with my free time is to hit up the club, like with many other people. But for myself, 'clubbing' is about much more than just dancing and grooving; I've met some of the most influential people in my life while networking at a club/lounge. I believe that there are bits of gold treasures hidden everywhere, and that I gain the knowledge to go find those treasures. Not to mention, I love watching beautiful women shake their hips and move to the groove of the beat :)
She loves my hair, but she loves me more.
As you can tell, Q didn't hear the part about "Let's take a serious picture, guys!"
Before this picture was taken, I literally told Christina, "Hold me like you love me."
I should have worn the shoes in before I decided to go dancing in them; my toes were KILLING me
I used to be a Korean Rap Superstar
Lush and Jenn. I really like how big and round Jenns cheeks are in this picture.
The beautiful start to a wonderful relationship begins with a vampiric taste of blood.
At Avalon with the infamous (pre-marriage) Terrence.
| | Music |
Far East Movement is definitely a group that I've seen grow immensely since meeting the band members kev nish, j-spliff, & prohgress a few years back. Could you please drop some support by visiting their page when you have the opportunity by clicking here? As Asian American artists, I believe that FM is taking the proper steps to become the next big movement. So please check out their page and support their music.
I love to sing, and I'm pretty good at it. At least when I'm drunk or in the shower. I play several instruments, as well, so I guess you can say I'm naturally inclined to music. Music should be a big part of everyone's lives, but in this day and age, great music is hard to come by. I'm not sure about you guys, but talking about "B-A-N-A-N-A-S", "I think I'm crazy" and "my humps my humps my humps" aren't really considered music to me. | | Movies | Some of my favorite movies of all time include: The Secret If you haven't seen it, you don't know what you're missing. This is definitely a movie that you ABSOLUTELY MUST watch before you die.
 American Beauty
 The Matrix
 The Shawshank Redemption
 The Usual Suspects
| | Television | I hate to say it, but my addictions to the tube include Heroes. The show, considering it's about Super heroes, is actually pretty amazing; Hiro is definitely my hero.
I don't actually watch the bube-tube for these shows, but wait the next day to catch them online. That way I only have to sit through 30 seconds of commercials rather than 5 minutes... ya know? | | Books | I'm currently reading "The Power of Focus" by Jack L. Canfield.
| | Heroes | My number one Lord & Savior, for helping me to accept the things that I cannot change. The One who forgives me of my sinful ways day in and day out and continues to love me as I continue to grow. I hope that one day, I'll be able to approach his open arms and whisper in his ear "Thank you, Father, for keeping me safe and guiding me here." Now in no way am I a Bible thumper, but I do have my faith, and if you question it, or doubt it, or mock it, for that matter, I'm not one to judge, as you will have judged me... I know that my life did not end up here by just a touch of magic or by pure luck or coincidence. God has been showing me not just the path, but the exact steps that I needed to get where I'm at today. My daddy is better than your daddy. =) Also, my modern day heroes list consists of any and all Asian Americans making a stand, not as an individual, but as a whole and representative of the AA community. Ones whose passion is determined by that desire to make a stand against the stereotypes of being a minority in this vast melting pot of opportunity. I love to be inspired. So with that, INSPIRE ME...
| | Core Friends | Friends are very important to me. Without my friends, I am nothing. There's an idea that's passed around that you are your five closest friends. If you were to take the 5 people that are closest to you, add up their personalities, and divide by 5, that is exactly who you are. Well, here is my core group:
Rua
Rua is my best friend. She would drive from San Diego to Los Angeles just to spend time with me when I was feeling down. She would stop whatever she's doing to fill my ear with her awesome stories, and her life is a testament and supportive argument of what a good friend is.
Vincent
Vincent is one of those friends that I could call at anytime and say "I need you." and he'll stop whatever it is he's doing to come aid you. When I was homeless, Vincent took me in. When I rolled my car last year and called Vincent, he came right away, as drunk as he was at the club; he toted along a sober friend just to come get me, no questions asked.
Nima
Nima. What can I say about him? Nima is a saint. No matter how shitty of a day you're having, all you have to do is pick up the phone and call, and Nima will have you bouncing off the walls in no time. One of my best friends, business partners, and overall inspiration to me, Nima is a friend that every person dies to have.
John Singh
John is not only a great friend, but he's my mentor. With huge successes in his life, it's only taught him how to share the gift with others. Because of John is why I'm the positive and motivated individual that I am today. I have yet to meet anyone with anything bad to say about John, and I can understand why. He has a heart of gold, and is the least selfish person I know. John's taught me about life, and continues to mentor me and help shape me to becoming an ultimate power player in this day and age.
Carla Classic

Carla. 1 + 1 = 100 billion. I love this girl. My business partner, my inspiration, my [almost] everything. We have the ability and friendship to pick up exactly where things were left off, without question. She's always there for me, and backs up whatever decisions that I make. A true contender in today's society, Carla has taught me so much about myself, in ways that nobody could. I love this girl like a fat kid loves the ice cream man. Okay, maybe more :)

About me:
My name is Joe. And my life is better than blessed.
I am not one to name-drop (unless I'm piss drunk), but let me start off by telling you that I've definitely been around the game and the block a few times. My many experiences and walks in life, whether positive or negative, have led me to become the exact person I am today. With that, I am proud to say that I have no regrets in life; I'm a firm believer of knowing that fate does exist, and my path was chosen for me because this is the way that I'm supposed to go.
I could go on about where I've been, what I've done, and what I'm good at, but I'd rather you get to know me for who I am; just a hard-working individual that feels the need to contribute to society in this day and age. Life is not something one should take lightly, and I definitely don't; we only have one life to live, so might as well take full advantage of what God has given us, right?
I'm particularly anal about spelling and grammatical accuracy, so I tend to reread everything over and over. Yet looking back, I still find errors that I've never caught before. I'm only human :)

Who I'd like to meet:
Unfortunate (for you, if you're not my friend), I keep this profile tight and exclusive to people that I know in real life. My fully public profile can be accessed by clicking here. Aside from my MySpace profile, I'm down to meeting anyone and everyone. I have no preferences when it comes to social interaction. Everyone has a purpose on this earth, and I would kick myself in the ass if I passed up an opportunity to get to know somebody because of my prejudged notions about them. However, This doesn't go to say that I keep in contact with everyone I meet. But I do pick and choose my battles and seek individuals' time that share the same interests and motivational passion about life as me. I'm all about networking through the right connections, and I'd like to think that MySpace could be utilized to make proper connections. This doesn't mean I'm going to add you to my friends' list, as I like to keep that restricted to people that I feel understand the true concept of MySpace, and are not just here to rack up a friend count. Please do not be discouraged if I don't accept your friend request. I receive tons of requests a day, as well, so my apologies in advance if you don't hear back from me for a couple of days. As far as my desire to meet anyone famous goes, I'm going to be straight up: I'm not into getting all starry-eyed when I meet celebrities, because they're just people, too. You could be Jessica Alba giving me a lap dance, for all I care. Honestly, Jessica, I wouldn't care about your lap dance. Because you're just another person to me. You, just like I, are someone's child. For you people out there, if you ever, and I repeat EVER pull that "I'm better than you" card on me, you won't last long on my friends' list, let alone in life. If this previous sentence describes you, then don't even bother trying to add me. One thing that I am quite tired of, and I'm sure a lot of you will agree with me, is when people add me for the sole purpose of soliciting me and/or my friends, and promoting their pages/parties/pictures in my comments' section. Please, my profile is not a bulletin board, and I would definitely like to keep it restricted to truthful comments/critique about me and/or my work. So some things that will get you booted from my friends' list:
- Don't ask me to hook you up with anyone on my list. Like I have magical powers that are going to make them fall in love with you, ESPECIALLY when I tell them that YOU wanted ME to hook YOU up, simple because you were too much of a wuss to approach them yourself. All I have to say about this? Closed mouths don't get fed. Think about it.
- Don't leave comments that will stretch out my page. I don't care if it's a picture of your breasts or ass. I have my profile designed to a certain width that I want it at, and I really don't want to have to delete your comment because you didn't read this sentence. Just a fair warning now. Don't kill me later.
- Don't leave music embedded onto my profile. I currently have a song that I like on my profile, and I don't need any more sound than that.
- Don't leave me "Add Me/Whore Me/Party Here/Thx for the add" comment. I'm pretty original, and you should be too.
