I Love working with artists in the studio. Building custom pro audio gear. Designing Studios. And, of course, mixing great records.
Music
I love ALL music. - But it's gotta be good... composed and performed with much thought and effort. ;-)
Movies
Hey... nothing like a good action movie - right guys...?
Again, it's kinda like the music question... Anything really good. But I gotta admit that I'm a sucker for anything sci-fi or fantasy. I also enjoy a good drama. I think that the one that sticks with me from way-back would be "One Flew Over the Cuck-Coos Nest". Absolutely fantastic. The Matrix is a must see. I really love the "Lord of the Rings" - I think that anything that Peter Jackson does is worth seeing.
Yeah, and I love a good comedy... Jim Cary is unbelieveable!... even in serious roles. Very good actor!
Television
I really only watch movies on tv. and sometimes the news.
I really don't have too much time to waste. ;-)
Books
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Heroes
All those unsung 'heroes' that go day to day and produce wonderful values for the world to enjoy and prosper. Those unique and driven individuals that daily improve living conditions for everyone by their creative endeavors and just plain hard work.
If you are a value producer... I SALUTE YOU!!
To hell with the parasites and destructives that have nothing to offer the world!! - So go do something about it!! ;-)
About me:
I have been in the music business for 35 years... Wow, it's been a while - and I still love it. I have built dozens of studios, a ton of custom pro-audio gear, engineered and produced countless records... we call 'em CD's now... and, yep! I'm still at at. Here's some of my latest work...
-- If you are trying to get started in the music business, whether it be performing or building your own studio, drop me a line. Maybe I can help. :-)
You can check me out on my home site at JHBRANDT.NET

Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet anyone who is interested in music bussiness networking. Serious people only. I do 'real' music with 'real' instruments in a REAL studio. I don't do the 'cheap 'n easy' junk.
