Musical Dots...
I started to play the piano when I was four. Big up to my mum who drove me to lessons every week by the sea and had twice as many nerves as I did when I took my exams. My piano teacher also taught the cello so I ended up learning that too. I wrote a Christmas Carol when I was 15 and won the BBC Song For Christmas competition so I'm in their hall of fame alongside the fabulous Gary Barlow! After my fifteen minutes of fame, I went off to study music some more at New College, Oxford where I performed with jazz bands, put on singer-songwriter nights and rowed up and down the river a lot.
Cello Antics...
Sometimes I play the cello and sing. The Big Chill liked this look and booked me as their first acoustic artist a few years ago. I have a track called 'Big Deal' on their compilation album 'Glisten'. I also play cello on Robbie Williams 'Rock DJ' and Mutya Buena 'Real Girl'.
The Other Side...
After a couple of years touting my tunes around London town, I thought I'd get on the inside and learn about the bizness. Somehow I landed myself a job in promotions with a big label and ended up taking all sorts of multi-platinum artists to TV shows. This also included ironing their shirts, fetching their camomile tea/red bull and sewing up their trousers in between polishing my halo and writing my own songs and musings late into the night.
The Sea, The Sea...
It was a lot of fun but I realised I'd never give up my music and it was time to focus on my own creativity. The south coast beckoned. So I left the big smoke, bought a new piano, shut myself away down by the sea and found what was missing.
Hope all going really well, loving the tracks. Would love to work with you again. Thanks for mentioning me on the page!

Hi again. Hope to do some gigs later this year - hideously busy atm and there are lots of people to organise if I'm going to do it properly (which I must). More info as and when it happens! Thanks for the interest. mark
Thanks for the add! Sorry if I've taken a long time to add you. I'm about to go on tour with Pat Benatar in about a week, and lets just say, things have been a little crazy around here! Anyway, I'm just now getting a chance to check out your page (which I'm loving, by the way)! How'd you come across my page? (just curious : ) Now that we're friends, don't be a stranger!

P.S. I have a bunch of shows coming up...check out my "upcoming shows" section. I'd love to see you at one!
Hi, I have a new song up! It's quite different from my previous stuff, and I hope you like it. The song is called "In early spring" and it's from my upcoming EP#3. Just thought I'd let you know. Take care Emil

Thanks for the add. Your tunes are great. 'Against The Tide' has a chord arrangement very remiscent of the way Neil Finn writes. Please take that as a compliment as Neil Finn is one of my heroes.
All the best and keep me posted on any releases, gigs etc.
My song "everest" is on a free sampler with artists from the label Ocean Music : http://www.ocean-music.fr/christmas/omc1.zip (zôon, hafdis huld, happily ever after, lisa cerbone etc)
