| About Jay Dalley....NEW BLOG |

Jay Dalley is a 17 year old singer / songwriter from Birmingham, UK. Jay started writing lyrics at a very young age and when he started to learn guitar at the age of 13, Jay finally started writing full songs and recorded / performed them under the the name "Midnight Daydream" and would go on to perform his first ever show at Birmingham's Barfly with help from Joe Greenfield on Bass and Paul Millington on Electric Guitar.
When the three later parted ways Jay decided that it wouldn't be appropriate to keep the name "Midnight Daydream", So Jay started a new band with the name "Ten Days South" which was later changed to "The Fiction", The band consisted of Jay on Acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Jack Reilly on Electric guitar and backing vocals, Lewis Chance on Bass and Dan Walton on Drums, The band recorded a 3 track EP which was never released.
In April 2007 Jay was summond by an old friend Brad Taylor to start a new rock band alongside "The Fiction", This new rock band would be called "Eternal Ordeal" and Dan Walton would later leave "The Fiction" to become the full time drummer for Eternal Ordeal, This would leave "The Fiction" without a drummer and resulted in the band splitting.
Since the split of "The Fiction" Jay has gone completely solo and continued to write songs acoustically and perform solo shows under the name "A Day Too Late", occationally being joined on stage with Jack Reilly on Electric Guitar & Backing Vocals. Eternal Ordeal has also continued to grow and develop sucessfully.
On Valentines Day 2008 Jay finally decided to use his own name for his music instead of alias's and "band" names. Jay's music is now purely known as "Jay Dalley" and Jay continues to record and perform all of his old songs and also write new ones.
With an EP and UK tour with fellow brummie band "So Long Superman" in the talks for 2008, Could this be Jay's year?
