Washington-based singer/songwriter/accordion player Jason Webley developed his distinctive blend of folk, punk, and gypsy rock busking on the streets of Seattle in the late '90s.
With a penchant for theatricality, pranks, and performance art, Webley hit the road in 1998 in support of his debut album Viaje and never looked back. Against the Night arrived in 1999, followed by Counterpoint (2002), Only Just Beginning (2004), and Cost of Living (2008). In 2004 he started his own label (Eleven Records) with the intention of releasing "eleven" collaborative albums with musician friends such as Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls and the Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band. ~ James Christopher Monger
