General
Retiring early (July 2006) is a blessing in my life and has opened doors to new opportunities and friends, and the ability to see life in a different, but appreciative way.
My unfortunate back injury (June 2007) has opened my eyes and my heart to feel compassion for others struck with acute pain and/or struck down early in life. The healing process forced me to slow down and appreciate the life I am leading. Patience and compassion for others is not generally my strong point, but I have certainly learned those virtues.
July 2008 was finally my turning point, and therefore I am anxiously look forward to gently embracing some daily fitness and get my body back healthier than ever!
I believe people, good fortune, and struggles come into your life for a reason. We arent always shown why in our lifetime, but I am quite aware of the lessons I was supposed to learn from my injury, not always appreciated at the time, but I am humbled now.

Heroes
My husband KEITH - for over 20 years now he makes my heart sing and my spirit soar! My sisters for the incredible drama we must endure and have endured! My daughter CHERIE who never ceases to amaze me with her personal hurdles & growth. My daughter JILL who reached for happiness, and has also recently endured acute pain. OPRAH...who cares so deeply for the women we are and for so much more we can be!

Mountain life is amazing:) There are some baby ground squirrels that just debuted in our backyard! Super cute:) Your page looks great and I really like the colors but that song has GOT to go. :) Miss you guys and Lola(fur) lots!
Sorry you had to have her put down;( I've had to do that in my life time a few times, just tears yur heart out! Thats why for me its hard to get pets, but then they love ya so unconditionally its hard not too!;)

I've lost a total of 3 pounds this week so far and feeling great. Actually going to the international street fair on saturday so making that my free day but still will watch what I eat. Have actually only had 600 cal today. Had lots of protein so not really feeling hungry. Well enjoy your bike ride just got back from my 5 mile ride.

Thank you! Our lake IS beautiful, isn't it?! Unfortunately, it wasn't too much fun...mostly working :( I heard back from Arrowhead Credit Union the other day, so hopefully that works out! If not, I'm sure it wasn't meant to be. I hope all is well with you guys!
