My ultimate loves are music, movies, and photography. I love stuff that is dark, mysterious, and/or beautiful. I love nothing more than to rent/buy a new film and sit down with a bowl of popcorn at home and watch it late at night with all the lights out. Best this way if it's scary! I also love to just listen and listen and listen to music all dayyyyyyy. I play several musical instruments although piano is my best. I am also self taught in photography. I find beauty in remote things. LOVE art, too, whether it's on your body or on canvas or a sculpture. I just love being alive and seeing all things beautiful. Like I said, darkness and mystery is beautiful....vampires, cats (although I'm more a dog person), fire, magic, the night, etc. My political views are mostly liberal but I tend to vote republican because I usually like their candidates more (although more than likely in this coming election I'll vote democrat). I like having fun with my friends but I cherish my alone time. If I don't have my time alone I will go INSANE. If asked am I an extrovert or introvert I used to easily say extrovert...I'm not so sure anymore. I'm very much in my head so if you want to get to me, penetrate my heart and brain, not my body. I like control and I like getting attention although I'm not pushy and I'm very easy going. I love traveling! On my list of places I still want to visit, I want to go to: Rome, Japan, Africa, New Zealand, Egypt, Australia and several other places, but those are at the top of my list. I've already been to more places than people twice my age. I've thought about traveling the world as a missionary of sorts...but I'd have to be way more involved with church and stuff than I am now. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God and love Him very much, but I question a lot of things in the bible. But I don't fit any one religion, and it doesn't run my life. I also don't impose my views on anyone cause I would hate to have their views imposed on me. I will like you whatever you are, most likely, as long as you're honest and not pushy. "Religion is an illusion and it derives its strength from its readiness to fit in with our instinctual wishful impulses." -Sigmund Freud.
A bit of a warning here...I am extremely sarcastic in my typing, especially in my online surveys I do (although the previous was not sarcastic). Not so much in person.
Music
"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything." -Plato. The best music in the world is music that gets into my heart....music that gets me emotional, whether it just raises my adrenaline, or it makes me want to fall in love, or even if it makes me just want to run with my arms out and hair flying in the wind. I ADORE soundtracks and music I can live to. I live mostly on Nine Inch Nails and I'm insanely in love with Trent Reznor. If you can't at least tolerate NIN, then we're going to have serious problems. I also really love Filter, but I go on music 'binges'. For example, right now I'm on a Zero 7 'binge' (yeah, that makes me a dork and I don't care). Who knows, next week I could be on a Radiohead 'binge'. It all depends how I'm feeling. I always have my NIN in my player, though...no matter what! I have a soft spot for 50s 60s, some 70s and some 80s music. I like the old stuff, what can I say. "Doctor, doctor....Can't you see it's burnin' burnin'"<--Who would've known that song was about a VD, lol!
Movies
American Psycho, Hard Candy, Everything Is Illuminated, Interview With the Vampire, Wedding Crashers, Death Becomes Her, Thursday, all the Back to the Future movies, all the Indiana Jones movies, Kids In the Hall: Brain Candy, Memoirs of a Geisha, V for Vendetta, and the LOTR trilogy. Dramas and horror flicks are my favorite. The last "new" movie I saw was "Saw IV". Way better than Saw III but not as good as I or II. You HAVE to have seen II and III though if you want to have any remote idea of what is going on. Even then it is still very hard to understand, even after it's over. Very good, though. A little too much full frontal male nudity of Jigsaw though, ick. (I'm not lying, he's butt ass naked during the beginning in this one scene that is like forever long and it's like totally zoomed in on his package, haha) Read more about it and other movies on my movies review page (number 2 on my top friend's list).
Television
I tend to like reality shows, but I also like HBO shows and series. I'm really more a movie person, however. Right now I'm really into VH1 stuff.
Books
I like books about crazy shit like serial killers and such. Recently, however, I've gotten into reading a mixture of novels from romance to suspense/thrillers. I just finished reading a romance novel called Irish Dreams. It was actually pretty good. I still think the most interesting book I ever read was on Jeffery Dahmer, either that or the book I read on neuroscience. I probably like this stuff because I have (well almost) my degree in psychology (and also in business).
Heroes
Our boys in Iraq, all the people who helped with hurricane Katrina, Al Gore (for what he's doing for the environment), my parents
Jean: What's that?
Patrick Bateman: Duct tape. I need it for... taping something. -American Psycho
UPDATE: I currently am not doing the whole myspace thing very often AT ALL, so if you want to contact me you can here on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1245961337
I want to live my life in a dream which sometimes gets me into trouble. That's why I love acting, movies and music so much because they put me in an alternate reality. I often wish there was a soundtrack to my day to day life. This world is so crazy and so beautiful at times and at other times it's damn depressing. I love laughing and being happy. I'm very fun loving and sincerely easy going though I can be on the wild side at times. Nothing bothers me. I praise uniqueness. I want to expand my mind and heart. I have a very dark side to me full of passion which I show pretty much no one. I like beautiful people, places, and things. Nothing in the world is better than to put on a song I just love and to just close my eyes and escape. I want to live forever. I'm totally a night person. I often sleep during the day and stay up all night. I love walking around real early in the morning before the sun comes up all alone. I just feel so free then. I love photography and do a lot of it in my free time. You can see some of it in My Photography album in my pics section. I also just created a new myspace page strictly dedicated to my photography here By the way, I'm a big girl, that's right, I have meat on me. If you don't like a girl with a little oomph then you won't like me. But then again I'm insanely sexy(most would agree) so if you don't agree then it's your loss anyway, haha. Oh, and in case you didn't know I am the original Snickle Von Veeny Pops!
I absolutely adore Christian Bale. Not only is he devastatingly handsome, he is just about the best actor of our time. He will do whatever is necessary to really become his character even if that means getting down to 120lbs at 6ft tall (he did this for The Machinist and then buffed back up to 200 for Batman Begins in just 6 months). Check him out in American Psycho, The Machinist, and 3:10 to Yuma and you'll get a glimpse of how wonderful and versatile his acting is.
"Pumpkin...Pumpkin, you're dating an asshole. Pumpkin, you're dating the biggest dickweed in New York. Pumpkin, you're dating a tumbling, tumbling dickweed." -Patrick Batemen (Christian Bale), American Psycho
I am a die-hard romantic. I could lay all day in a hammock with the one I love just brushing my hand along their skin and kissing. Too bad I'm not looking for a boyfriend, haha. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist teasing. Well, like I said, I'm really only looking for friends right now. I just have too many things happening in my life to get into a relationship. I like to put my all into a relationship so right now just wouldn't be a good time for one. But friend wise, I get along with pretty much everyone, and I love making new friends. Well that's a lie. I can't stand prissy stuck up bitches who think their shit don't stink. I just like down to earth people. The only thing that really puts me off about a person is someone who is very self absorbed, or someone who pushes their opinion on you but won't listen to what you have to say. But other than that, I'm up for hanging out with just about anyone. So if you think we'd have a good time, write me.
