Sounds Like
Compared to Joni Mitchell but only because some writers can't think of any other female singer-songwriter. A bit like Christine Lavin 'cause I do some funny tunes and a little like Patty Larkin because I use a lot of open tunings and heck, just listen and form your own opinion.
Jamie's newest album, Three Bridges, is a celebration of 20 years of touring -- it includes her most requested songs plus two new ones. Hear cuts and order it at www.CDBaby.com/jamieanderson4

Touring nationally since the eighties, singer-songwriter-parking lot attendant Jamie Anderson has played her warm and witty songs in hundreds of coffeehouses, concert halls, colleges and festivals. Good Morning America, the Dr. Demento radio show, Car Talk, and stations all over the world have featured her music. She's a confused folk singer who dabbles in several genres - from the acoustic ballad "Beautiful" (about body image) to the fun bluegrass romp of "Felon" (her less-than-kind look at weird North Carolina laws). While she often performs solo she can also be found with her band Broad Street ('cause, uh, they're all broads). When she's not touring, she's taught songwriting and other classes at Duke University, arts centers and at festivals all over the US. With eight albums under her belt Jamie loves being a full time musician, so she doesn’t really park cars, but her mama said she should have something to fall back on.

Hey Jamie! Just wanted to say hey and still love your music, although I haven't been able to see you perform live in years. I know you were in Chicago recently but I couldn't make it. :-( Wish you could make it to the midwest more! But, anyway...
Hey Jamie, how's it going? Suddenly I'm very busy... work, school, two bands AND a girlfriend! What else could a woman want? Hope you & the kitties are doing well!! HUGS!
