Sounds Like
If you like anything by Train, Toad The Wet Sprocket during their "Fear" days,
Counting Crows "August and Everything After" sessions,
Goo Goo Dolls songs like "Iris", "Slide" & "Black Balloon",
...you'll love JAMESTOWNE!!!
CAMPUS CIRCLE MAGAZINE describes the sound as...[These Songs] show JAMESTOWNE's superb ability to capture true human emotion with a sense of honesty, positivity and warmth both musically and lyrically.
JAMESTOWNE began when Jimmy (Chicago, IL) and Kip (Indianapolis, IN) set out to form a band that would reflect their Midwestern Rock roots. They eventually met up with Neil (Cape Town, South Africa) and Leif (Orange County), and made a home for themselves in Los Angeles.
Shortly after releasing the group's first album (Self-Titled"), JAMESTOWNE began performing on the West Coast as the LEVI'S 1ST STAGE opening act for such artists as JAMES TAYLOR, TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS, STYX & REO SPEEDWAGON. These shows eventually led them to their first national tour, where they performed as the LEVI'S 1ST STAGE act for BRIAN WILSON/PAUL SIMON.
As the band was winning audiences over with their live show, soon television shows began to catch on to their music as well. Hit series' such as "SMALLVILLE", "FELICITY", and "MTV's UNDRESSED" featured a total of 14 songs throughout their episodes, and eventually on the DVD releases. "FELICITY - SECOND SEASON" DVD BOXED SET even featured a JAMESTOWNE song as it's MENU MUSIC.
The group continues to perform throughout Southern California, and after two years in the studio, has just released its second full length cd, titled More Than You Know.
