Energetic rhythms, captivating melody, moving lyrics, Jacobs Green brews bona fide homegrown music.
Jacob Green, blues singer/songwriter with a twist, becomes “OneManGreenBand,” stompbox under foot, harmonica upon neck, strumming instruments tirelessly touring the country. Whether Green plays guitar, banjo, dobro, or ukulele, he forms rhythm, percussion, and lead simultaneously transforming into “OneManGreenBand." Green harvests a resonance of the modern day gypsy, awakening original roots and blues folk songs. Green transforms the once “down-trodden” old-fashioned blues lyrics to positive riffs of change and “be green." His versatile homegrown, organic, original songs bring a fresh approach to old-school roots and blues folk music. Growing and seeking supporters with a desire to hear original music with a feel good organic sound.

From classic rock to punk, blues to hip hop, rockabilly to country, hippy to backwoods musicians, all have a seed in growing Green’s desire to craft quality music. Music came easily to him early in life, with interest in making rap music, playing violin in middle school orchestra, and playing guitar in high school punk band. Green’s passion for music did not go without admiration for singer/songwriters, such as Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, John Lennon, Todd Snider, and one man band performers, like Xavier Rudd. In adulthood, he was drawn to acoustic singer/songwriters and raw sound, so he began to lead bands, such as “Green n’ the Grit," a rock n’ blues band, “Infinite Nature," featuring tones of hip hop and reggae groove, to “River Water Tribe," a gypsy-grass band with punk and blues influence. After playing with numerous people, in a variety of bands, and venues in the Midwest, Green grew tired and weary, and decided to reinvent his style, redo his songs, and go it solo.

Already being well-versed in strings, Jacob hit the road solo. Though the music was the same, "a guy with a guitar," didn't hold the audience the way Green would have hoped. So, he decided he needed to do more, branch out and adapt his style and songs further, he figured he tried it all, what was there to lose. Then, Fall 2012, a friend built Green a stompbox; the final piece he needed to complete "OneManGreenBand." Taking time to get the sound to what Green desired, he debuted "OneManGreenBand" for the first time in the Winter 2012 in Vermont. "OneManGreenBand," over the last year, captivated the audience and left them in awe of the amount of sound and energy that can come out of one person. Green is happy with how "OneManGreenBand" is evolving and taking on new sound, and looks forward to releasing many albums and doing many more shows in the one man band style.

Jacob Green produces music of natural acoustic sound, with reverberations of numerous genres, and encourages messages of being kind and conscious of self and the environment. Green self–produces all of his music under his self-published label Growth Productions, newly releasing his latest ALL Blues album, Travelin' Soul, recorded and engineered by Jolouie Perez. In the Fall 2013, Green began to record with Mr. Jolouie Perez, and was so happy with his work decided he was going to re-record, his self-recorded and self-released album, Root Revival Vol. 1. Green looks forward to re-releasing, Roots Revival - Breaking Ground Vol. 1, this January 2014. Roots Revival Vol. 2 is due to be released In the Spring 2014, which will also be recorded and mastered by Perez. Green will continue to write and record new material from a rambler’s point of view, working to bring a newfound narrative of “go green” and respect one another, all lively notes contributing to Green’s highway, byway, back road blues.
