Have we forgotten the 2000 election when Al Gore was ridiculed for using the phrase “lockbox” to describe his intentions for the extraordinary SURPLUS created during the previous 8 years of democratic leadership? (The question is, of course, rhetorical). Incidentally (and kinda importantly), those surpluses coincided with nearly a decade of consistent, sustained, and unseen for a century – PROSPERITY. So, REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!! REMEMBER THE MAINE!!! And, when someone suggests democrats are fiscally irresponsible, tell them to: REMEMBER THE LOCKBOX!!!
