Lorelei Armstrong was born and raised in Ojai, California. She holds an undergraduate degree in fine art from UCSB and is a recent graduate of the MFA program in screenwriting at UCLA. She has won seven screenwriting contests and is represented in screenwriting by David Freedman at Hollywood View. Lorelei is a resident of the state of Hawaii, but spends much of the year in Los Angeles for business reasons. She’s a ten-year attendee of the Santa Barbara Writers Conference.

Lorelei is a member of the Independent Writers Caucus of the WGAw and fully expects to be thrown out of the WGA’s members-only bbs any day now for being a loudmouth. She does story notes for the producer of a top network franchise drama but can’t say which one.

Baron R. Birtcher

Baron's Website

Baron R. Birtcher was born in 1959 in Newport Beach, California, attended Dana Hills High School in Dana Point and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1981. He spent a number of years as a professional musician, guitarist and songwriter after which he spent the next fifteen years in the commercial real estate industry and founded an independent record company, BSQ Entertainment Group.

Having never lost his lifetime interest in music and literature, Baron relocated to Hawaii in 1996 in order to pursue a career as a writer. His first two novels, Roadhouse Blues and Ruby Tuesday were Los Angeles Times and IMBA Best-Sellers. He has also had the honor of serving as a judge for the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Award.

Mr. Birtcher currently lives in Kona, Hawaii with his wife, Christina, where their hobbies include scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, music and reading. He is currently at work on his next novel.

Raymond Obstfeld

Raymond's Website

Raymond Obstfeld’s previous book, co-written with basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, On the Shoulders of Giants: My Journey Through the Harlem Renaissance, was a New York Times and Los Angeles Times Best-Seller. Kareem and Raymond are currently at work on a new book about the cultural and political rise of African-Americans during the 1960s and 1970s. He teaches creative writing at Orange Coast College.

Raymond published his first novel when he was 24. His second novel, Dead Heat, was nominated for an Edgar by the Mystery Writers of America. Forty books and a dozen screenplays later, Raymond is still going strong. Although he has published extensively under his own name, he has also written under the pseudonyms Pike Bishop (the Western series, Diamondback), Jason Frost (the futuristic series Warlord), Carl Stevens (a mystery series), and Don Pendleton (the Executioner series). However, Raymond achieved his greatest success writing as Laramie Dunaway (Hungry Women, Borrowed Lives, and Lessons in Survival). His Dunaway books have been published around the world from England to Korea. His award-winning young-adult novel, Joker and the Thief, has also been published in several countries.

He is also very active writing non-fiction, having written books about Moby-Dick, Napoleon Bonaparte, the Italian Renaissance, world religions, and animal behavior. Aside from his many articles in Writer’s Digest Magazine (where he is a Contributing Editor), he has published two instructional books on writing, including The Novelist’s Essential Guide to Crafting Scenes and Fiction First Aid (Writer’s Digest Books).

IN THE FACE

by LORELEI ARMSTRONG

In The Face is a mystery about the price of fame and the pursuit of perfection. When Hollywood’s top actor is accused of murder, it exposes a world of obsessed fans and stage parents so desperate that they’ll seek specialized plastic surgery for their infant children in hopes of later fame. What happens when the unstable actor realizes that a superstar really can get away with murder? Two LAPD detectives have to figure out what’s real, who’s dead, and who’s next.

ANGELS FALL
by BARON R. BIRTCHER

The disappearance of a teenaged girl draws former Los Angeles detective Mike Travis away from his scuba charter business and into the bowels of an underground culture driven by designer-narcotics and violent sex. What he uncovers is a world built on secrets, and entire lives built on lies.

But as Travis unravels one set of deceits, he finds himself confronted with visions of his own past, his own complicity in an act of shocking cruelty. His investigation glimpses a hellish side of paradise unseen by tourists, painted with the dark brushstrokes of hardboiled tropical noir.

ANGELS FALL is the story of one man’s desire to outrun the corrosive powers of vast wealth and personal vengeance, while attempting to tame the demons that dwell in his own dark and violent past. It is the story of the cost of moral corruption and the high price of redemption, played out against a backdrop of coffee fields and lush jungle, of rich sunsets and coconut palms, of trade winds and the rhythmic swell of the Hawaiian sea.

ANATOMY LESSON
by RAYMOND OBSTFELD

Stevie Croft, 30, Orange County’s most successful prosecutor, is running a losing campaign for district attorney when she is assigned to the most heinous crime in the county’s history. A “body” is discovered composed of the severed parts of five different people of varying ages and sexes, all crudely sewn together to form one grotesque corpse. Brought into the case by her deputy sheriff ex-husband, Stevie has the chance to ride this high-profile case right into office. But there are complications. The killer begins leaving cryptic messages for Stevie in her home, in her office, even in her purse. Calling himself The Tutor, he claims that deciphering these clues will not only lead her to his identity, but save the lives of his future victims. He knows she’ll be able to decipher the clues because he knows her darkest secret: since she was ten, Stevie has had “hyper-memory,” a combination of photographic memory and total recall. She can remember exactly everything she’s ever seen, heard, or read. But to Stevie her “gift” is a curse she has kept secret from everyone but her father and sister.

Her father, a famous author and advisor to presidents, is quickly arrested for the murders. Any attempts to clear him could be seen as favoritism and cost her the election. Add to that the fact that a sinister government agent has been following her and two FBI agents have demanded involvement in the case, without telling her why.

Everything now seems to rest on Stevie’s ability to figure out the clues and find The Tutor before he kills again. But the danger with her hyper-memory is that she has been suffering from increasingly painful migraines. And the constant memory “floods” (enormous rushes of random memories) that she experiences threaten to fry her brain, leaving her in a coma.

As her pain increases, so do the killer’s clues. She must hold on long enough to find The Tutor, save her father, and prevent more savage killings.

BORROWED LIVES
by RAYMOND OBSTFELD

Luna Devon is jealous. While her life is dull, her best friend Wren Caldwell has a life to die for-wild, exciting, filled with possibilities...and men. Then Wren tragically dies, offering Luna a daring, naughty, totally unthinkable opportunity: to reinvent herself as Wren.

All she has to do is take Wren's new job at a hot California magazine, persuade a murderess to give her an exclusive, in-jail interview, come up with something witty to say to a seductive movie director-and figure out how to handle Byron, the ex-con husband Wren never told anyone about. With moxie, pizzazz, and fingers crossed, Luna is about to make life-changing choices for two women. Both of them her.

Gracias por la Amistad…

Here is what one fan is saying about, El Poder de Ser Bilingue, the EZ Bilingual Newsletter:

I love having the English and Spanish next to one another! It's such a great way to learn. I always try to read the Spanish first, then see how well I did by reading the English, then go back again and try to learn some new Spanish words.

Sign up now and receive a free bilingual ebook: Margarita by Ruben Dario and check out the featured book, Gusanito, a great bilingual story about un gusanito que suena…perfect for helping you and your children practice Spanish fluency.

ADELANTE!!!

What is '...INBEAT...'?

Listen ... and Think

'...INBEAT...' (International Beat) Song by ZMMM:

"...People get ready..."

http://www. myspace. com/ziggymarley

.......................................................................

What is '...INBEAT...'?

Think of '...INBEAT...' as being a '...Global Community...' that belongs to all of its Members... Just like an Internet based United Nations, if you will. It will be used as a mechanism for addressing some of the present and future Global Challenges through the timely introduction of '...Precisioned Initiatives...' that the Community can execute. Because of the precisioned attributes of the '...Envisioned Initiatives...', they would invariably be less costly and more effective than prevailing "programs". Why, you may ask? : Simply because the Initiatives will be coming directly from their '...Source Of Origin...'.

Please review the '...INBEAT...'(InternationalBeat) Profile...

Have a great week!

Terry, you are a wonderful person... but you've seen enough of me that you know there is a lot of truth in this. Hoping to reinvent myself. Thanx.

Just stopping by to say hi.

Okay, that's a big lie. I'm really sending you this because I want you and people who look at your page to buy my books.

There. I said it. You're just a cheap promo opportunity for me. I'm even using a bot to send out hundreds of these comments rather than taking the time to contact you personally.

But I also love you. A lot. You're my very favorite MySpace friend. Really. Thank you for being you.
