   About Invisible Opera
http://www.glastonburymusic.org.uk/invisibles/

Some music is designed like a magic ear puzzle, it's not until you shift your perspective that you begin to truly perceive the three dimensionality of the sound. It is also possible to arrive at similar results, some would claim, more authentically via more intuitive processes.

Invisible Opera has been a process of allowing a band to become. It has expanded and contracted over time, but still remained a vessel for many people to sail the seas of improbability, a co-created vehicle for musical exploration and general cosmic lunacy. We are at a critical time in the history of the planet, never before has it been so important to be clear about our aims and desires. This isn't a game you know. So ... what do we do next?

aardvarks & jellybeans

We've been exploring our surrogate down-home psychedelic boogie roots with the help of Franklin Muesli-Belt on kit, Sighman Diamond on synths and Sheba Peacock providing her vituosic talents on the tenor sax. Our current set features the writing of fretwangler supreme and former Space Pirate Will Greenwood and "all your bass are bard by us" Tim Flatus along with a couple of well chosen versions as homage to our ineffable collection of influences.

It's quite hard to predict from one gig to the next exactly what flavour of music will result as it we move with the mood of the audience and our surroundings. At times it's chaotic, others sublime. It is a multi-faceted experience - a journey to places both poignant and tender, raging and cathartic. Between-tides we like to explore the BeWilderLands of improvisation... Galactic byelaws notwithstanding! Those familiar with an Invisible Operatic performance understand that it is possible to play a critical role in inflencing the group's intent in a much more tangible sense than just being a member of the audience. The band itself spans several continents and has more than 50 members and ex-members around the world. There is madness in our method - follow the links around the site to gain a deeper insight into the realms Invisible.

The whole thing is a continuous work in progess, obviously this site included. We are still heavily committed to recycling old fashion statements into deep lifestyle ecology, with a combination of 70's glam kitsch and Millennium Madness. The Psycho - Audible Warp Phenomenon known as the Invisible Opera Company is currently manifest in the form of a constellation of inspired and accomplished songsmiths and players emanating from within the Free State of Avalonia, sonically surfing the Craic Between the Worlds and returning once again to deliver slabs of ecstatic space pfunk and eclectic tripppy groOoves woven into one ear-blisteringly mellow tapestry. An uplifting,life-affirming musical experience for the head the heart and the feet.

ROBS TRANSITION DAY FRIDAY 13th JULY 2007
12 NOON FROM THE FAWCETT INN SOUTHSEA PO4 0DP.GOING TO THE SOUTH DOWNS NATURAL BURIAL SITE FOR 1PM THEN BACK TO THE FAWCETT FOR THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE PARTY WITH THE INVISIBLE OPERA COMPANY FROM TIBETT AND OPEN MIC NIGHT SO BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS AND LETS HAVE A WICKED PARTY MY NUMBER FOR MORE DETAILS IS JACKIE ON
07915398244
SOUTH DOWNS BURIAL SITE

The site is situated 2 miles south of the unspoilt village of East Meon, at the head of the Meon Valley, with the South Downs Way running along the northern boundary, a former conifer plantation on part of HMS Mercury. The area is being restored to a diverse, broadleaf woodland. It is being cleared systematically leaving the existing beech, yew, whitebeam and silver birch, creating woodland glades and hazel coppices. The burial site itself is situated on a south facing slope next to a fifty acre sheep pasture. Both the burial ground and sheep pasture are surrounded on all sides by woodland, providing a distant view as well as shelter, giving a sense of stillness and seclusion.
To preserve the natural surroundings, we do not permit headstones or other permanent grave-side memorials. The precise location of each burial is carefully plotted and recorded, using a system of trig-points across the site. A Book of Remembrance provides a whole page dedicated to the loved one with personal details, messages or photographs. Within the centre building there are rooms available for services; there is also a restaurant area where mourners can meet before and after the funeral.
