This Saturday Night, August 16th at InCahoots, a raffle will be held to raise money to help Ernie Powers' family with funeral costs. * ALL funds raised from the raffle or any donations made will be passed on directly to his family. An InCahoots VIP card is the Raffle Grand Prize Other gifts are going to be raffled off as well Please come out THIS Saturday Night and Help us Help a FRIEND!!! PLEASE FORWARD THIS ON TO ANYONE YOU THINK MIGHT WANT THIS INFORMATION IF EVERYONE GETS THIS 5 TIMES IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH!! I remember all the great times we had together at the bar...laughing, drinking, dancing, telling stories. I know he is in a better place, but I still would rather have here with me!

Dalton	Aug 9 2008 3:04 AM Very sad news some of you may not have heard yet. Ernie Powers passed away this week. Ernie was diagnosed last month with lung cancer, and spent the better part of July in the hospital. He was found on Thurs. morning at his apartment. How he passed we don't know yet. Ernie also had a couple of "mini strokes" over the last 7 -8 months as well I will send out another E-Mail about services if and when I find anything out. If any of you hear anything PLEASE let me know. There are A LOT of us out there that consider Ernie a FRIEND and would appreciate any info we can pass on to them. I will also pass on any info about any kind of fundraiser or memorial get together that I might hear about & would appreciate the same in return. Please keep Ernie in your thoughts. He was a part (BIG or small) of all our lives!!

Most people will never get the chance to meet a "real" cowboy, and for those of us who know, it takes a lot more than a pair of wranglers and a cowboy hat. For starters: Cowboys are not Rednecks- - Rednecks drive big lifted trucks with the rebel flag/bumper stickers - Cowboys drive longbed pickups (trucks have 18 wheels) with mudflaps and a grill guard (the bigger the better) many have sleepers (again, for those of you who know) -Rednecks wear goofy hats and john deere caps -Cowboys hats are an expression of their personality and as such contain a certain measure of pride. Unless your his woman, leave it be. -Rednecks wear overalls (the jeans with built in suspenders, often accompanied with a piece of straw in the mouth) -The closest you'll ever see a cowboy to this is Carheart coveralls in the winter when hell's damn close to freezing. -Rednecks pick up women at family gatherings -Cowboys can pick them up everywhere else (ladies beware) Secondly, its true what they say, there is an understood "code" that cowboys follow which includes, but is not limited to, the following: -Always thank the cook for the meal (no matter what it was) -Don't swear in front of a lady (not all women are ladies) -Don't talk shit about his horse, hat, boots, spurs, buckles, saddle, truck, mom, dog,
