With a musical style that might best be described as "Vibe-Girl Lounge," the Dishes have a way of pulling you in, leaving you craving more. A must see for the discerning listener looking for something new and unique in today's sonic world.
Band History: The Dishes originally formed in December of 2003, doing fresh, scaled-down arrangements of original Clare Quilty material, throwing in a sexy cover of Luscious Jackson's Mood Swing, a haunting arrangement of the classic Bang, Bang complete with cello interlude, and adding some surprizingly fresh and well-crafted Dirty Dish originals, which quickly created a stir around town. After the original Dish drummer-girl took a new job elsewhere, founding members Jenn Rhubright (sultry vocals), Juliet Trail (keyboards, cello, groovy harmonies), and Chris Ruotolo (bass, guitar, and additional groovy harmonies) joined forces with Lea Calvani ( on the grrrly cocktail kit) for a combination that might best be called magically delicious.
