AUG 9/08- TOUR!
With just one month left in the summer, I CALL THIS SAFTEY has planned a host of shows which are sure to please. August 9th will mark the beginning of I CALL THIS SAFTEY's week long whirlwind tour with Torque Records' hello TERROR, during which they will play along side other acts such as Dead Walk. This full day local event is to take place at Constance Bay; split between afternoon and evening events, a skate demo and barbeque will serve as an entertaining intermission. Whether you make it out for the full day, or just the evening portion of the event, make sure to check out I CALL THIS SAFETY's set at 830pm. Entrance to this all day event is only $14. For more information check the band's myspace events listings.
Following this initial event, I CALL THIS SAFETY has four sequential shows running from August 10th to August 13th. Along with helloTERROR, Blind Witness, and Always and Forever, a concert will take place in Iroquois on Sunday. This show is to be followed by three immense concerts in which I CALL THIS SAFTEY will along side both helloTERROR and Greta Knights. Make sure to catch this incredible trio of bands either in London, Hamilton, or Toronto.
The band will be selling both merchandise and a three song limited tour edition CD at all of their tour destinations so be sure to check out their merch booth.
Be sure to keep checking the band's myspace for listings of shows in the upcoming months as there will definitely be more to come!
MAY 23/08- ROSESDEAD FAREWELL SHOW/MUSIC VIDEO
I CALL THIS SAFETY are pleased to announce they have been added to the Ottawa date of the upcoming Rosesdead farewell tour. Taking place on Friday June 13th at Cafe Dekcuf (221 Rideau St), this show is the second last of Rosesdead's limited farewell dates and will be Ottawa's last chance to catch them before they call it quits. Tickets will be available for $11 in advance and can be attained directly by contacting the band through their MySpace, or at End Hits in Ottawa at 407 Dalhousie St. Also included on the bill are Blackbox Records' Sydney, Oceans, and locals Hartford.
The month of June however contains plenty more excitement: ICTS has teamed together with local film company Tormega Films and are currently planning the groundwork for a music video shoot early in the month for their track "Cameras or Guns...One of Y'All is Going to Shoot Me to Death". Based on a dramatic dystopian short story written by a local author, I CALL THIS SAFETY are extremely excited to be working with a director that shares their vision for the song. More details will be released shortly, but for those curious, the band will be in need of extras for a portion of the filming. Those interested in being part of the shoot are asked to message the band's MySpace account directly here.
Furthermore, in tribute to the upcoming music video, ICTS has decided to release a full downloadable version of "Cameras or Guns". Be sure to download this song while you can, as it will only be available exclusively on the band's MySpace for a limited time!
APR 7/08- NEW MP3 UP!
After taking a month off to write while drummer Jon Busby recovered from emergency surgery, I CALL THIS SAFETY have finally released the second single from their forthcoming split. The song "the Force of Change" can be found exclusively on the band's MySpace player here.
ICTS would like to thank all those in attendance at their show last Friday. The band had a great time playing alongside Dead and Divine, Sydney, and There Were Thousands, and want to personally thank Deathbound Booking for giving them their spot on the soldout bill. I CALL THIS SAFETY also wishes to thank everyone who purchased their ticket in advance directly from them for their continuing support! Check out a video clip from the show of the band performing "Alol" directly here, or on their facebook group.
ICTS will be announcing various dates across Ontario this week so stay tuned!

I Call This Safety are proud to annouce that they are the latest addition to Deathbound Booking's amazing roster. For those that still haven't seen ICTS play yet, the band has been added onto the next Ottawa Deathbound show at the end of the month.
