About The Lions Mane

The Lions Mane is an idea that represents the thoughts and ideals of those who justify their actions with reflective clarity. The pursuit of music that is both rhythmical and melodic but always adapting to its own surroundings. The band was setup early in 2008 in a quaint part of the country with lots of forest. Both the isolation and cold have produced a very useful environment to capture all ranges of emotion. Music for music's sake.

Doors open at 4pm so arrive on time to secure a good place Entry is €6 and of course All Ages are welcome Future Gigs: Sunday October 19 - Slave Zero + Guests Sunday October 26 - South, Modern Rik and Indie Kids Cant Dance Sunday November 9 - Lord Of The Drums Sunday November 23 - To Be Confirmed Sunday December 7 - Eyesclosed + Guests Sunday December 21 - Mike Got Spiked + South + Guests There will be one other date announced before Christmas featuring a HUGE international grindcore band depending on whether or not there is a suitable date. Definetely would love to gig with ye sometime, either here in Cork or in Kilkenny or anywhere really. We dont have an actual CD, those tracks are just stuff we recorded ourselves last year. We're thinking of recording a new EP soon, with new better songs included, but that's once we get the name out there more - and what better way than to gig!
