About me: ..
..
Hyde Park Theatre develops writers, designers, directors, and actors from within the Austin community, while at the same time producing works by exciting new and established voices of the alternative theatre scene. We will work with a broad and diverse base of local artists to produce theater that confronts, challenges, and entertains. We have a strong commitment to paying local writers, actors, and designers a decent wage for their work, and to expanding the base of working artists in Austin. We hope to diversify and expand the audience for theater in Austin, making theater accessible and essential across lines of income, class, race, gender, and sexual preference.

Aww! I'd love to, but we have performances of Antony and Cleopatra, starting at 8 pm, lasting until 10:45. If either of them ends up not happening, I'll be there.
What's up beyatches?! I'm back, and I'm mad as hell!! I'm bringing Appalachian Jihad full force!!! I thought you knew!!!! I am a threat to national security!!!!!
Really enjoyed "Dog Sees God." From the opening minute (What? Snoopy rabies? Woodstock murdered? Blood? Dead?), it was clear that in typical Hyde Park fashion, this wasn't going to be just "Ha, Ha, Peanuts in High School." This Dog had a bite. Very funny. Great cast. The whole show went beyond whatever it was that I expected. Which is pretty much what I've come to expect. Congratulations.
DSG rocked! Cathy and I had a blast. Congrats on a fine, fine show and all of the outstanding performances. Quite the treasure trove of fresh faces and awesome talent.
