Hey everybody, I'm Dan. I found out at an early age what music can do for the soul. I remember hearing a song that my older brother wrote when I was very young, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I remember singing into the vacuum cleaner handle and pretending I was Axl Rose when I was supposed to be cleaning my room. I also remember the way I felt when I heard a great record the whole way through for the first time. It was Tom Petty “Wildflowers,” and it blew my mind. All I want to do is make people feel the way that record made me feel. I love to perform, write songs, and record albums. I write songs from my heart, and if they mean something to other people, and it makes them feel good for a little bit, then that is just about the best feeling in the world to me. I have a lot of influences, and I listen to a lot of artists old and new, but I always come back to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Counting Crows. They don’t write bad songs in my opinion. They write catchy, memorable songs that mean something, and they record albums that are meant to be listened to the whole way through. That is what I strive for. Although I wouldn’t complain if it happened, my goal is not to become famous or rich, but I do want to affect as many people as I can the way those bands have affected me. I just feel like I have something to say, and hopefully my songs can help some people, even if it is just for a couple of minutes at a time. So thanks for stopping by, and if you have a few minutes please give me a listen. See ya!
