Sounds Like
nonstop mind-zap melodies. superhooks and shimmery light-tones. harmonized dual guitars ride atop innertubes. watery vocal jams dripping hooks and glops. giant folk choruses and late evening wood-flutes. fire and echos, blazing over glistening drum shots and slippery hits. then solo becomes eagle-mind soaring above EarthRiver while fizzy throat hums.
return to melody.
the dark age of the mind crystal is upon us. splintered video light drips violently on weak sight. hope child. like in your face. infoAThockeynightmusic.com
my fiance just called me and told me that he heard you guys on mtv's realworld!! THAT'S AWESOME!! it's just a matter of time before the world realizes how unbelievably talented you all are!!!
Hi, Just to let you know I picked one of your tracks, Psychic Lightening, for The Burning Club's new imaginary mix-CD, Burn 23. We are 12 folk from Tokyo, Seattle, Glasgow, Melbourne, New York, London, Atlanta, Hong Kong and Orkney who have been swapping mix-cds for the last five years. My list this time was the following: Patrick watson, Joy Division, Okkervil River, BandoJammonCruddos, Beirut, The Blakes, Eno, Rock Plaza Central, Fred Neil, Malajube, Illinois,King Tubby, Nathan Abshire, The Fighting Cocks, Menomena, Hockey Night and Tokyo Police Club. Just wanted to come on here and say how completely wonderful you guys are...i only have Keep Guessin' at the moment (your stuff is hard to find here!), but it's been one of my favourite and most-played records of the last couple of years. In the most complementary way possible, you remind me of Pavement and The Unicorns and all the bands that make me feel like music is still actually worth something. I LOVE it more than booze, fags, food and air. Please, for the love of all that is good and pure, play England sometime. :)
