Hi-5 is a fabulous show on Discovery Kids and TLC (USA)and is also shown in Canada and Central and South America. This cast was derived from the orignal Australian show of the same name that is hugely popular there and in the UK, Singapore, India, Maylaysia, the Phillipines and New Zealand, to name a few. Hi-5 (both American and Australian) is shown around the world in over 80 countries!

Shaun's latest projects:
IN THE HEIGHTS - a musical that Shaun understudied for three roles - including the lead role of Usnavi. This musical is now on BROADWAY! WOOHOOT!!!! Congrats to Shaun - who has been picked up as the understudy to these same roles: Usnavi (THE LEAD!), Sonny and Piraqua Guy.
Check out this hilarious commercial for the show, which starts Valentine's Day 2008 at the Richard Rogers Theatre in New York. Tickets go on sale December 22nd.

Shaun recently starred as Juan, the sexy skirt chasing latin lover in the hit off-broadway musical spectacular Altar Boyz! Wooooo-weeee! Nice facial hair Shaunus Maximus! Yeowzers!
Most recently, Karla was in the Houston Theatre of the Stars production of "Dreamgirls"...she played Deena, which was Beyonce's role in the movie...if anyone saw the show, please email me and let me know how it was!!!

Recently, Karla had a bit part in the new show "Knights of Prosperity" and is working with Shaun (woot!) on two projects...Wanda's World and according to Mama Shirley, is performing with Shaun in the updated version of the Broadway musical RUNAWAYS at Joe's Pub in NYC starting March 25th!
Karla recently worked on "Romeo and Juliet" at the New Canaan Theatre and has also starred as "Nicki" in Drift at the Sage Theatre in NYC last fall. Here is a clip from the play...we always knew this girl had some pipes!!

Hi-5 debuted in Australia in 1999 and has since won five ARIA awards for "Best Children's Album" (in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004), won three consecutive Australian Logie Awards (the Australian awards for television performance and production recognition) for "Most Outstanding Children's Preschool Program" in 2002, 2003 and 2004"
Creator Helena Harris wanted to bring them to America (remember the Wiggles?) but couldn't sell to the big networks. Discovery picked them up but requested a diverse American cast...so Hi-5 America was born!

I came here wondering about possible tour information too. Unfortunately we missed the group when they came around our area last summer. My daughter would have so much fun watching them perform live.
