- Of all homeless Veterans, 42% are Vietnam Veterans
- Substance abuse rates are twice as high among Veterans as among non-veterans.
- According to the VA, One in Three Iraq/ Afghanistan Veterans suffers from PTSD.
- Army soldiers committed suicide last year at the highest rate in 26 years.
- Alcohol misuse has risen from 13% among soldiers to 21% one year after returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
- Troops with anger and aggression issues increased from 11% to 22% after serving in combat (Iraq/
Afghanistan).
- Divorce amongst troops rose from 9% to 15% after time spent in the combat zone (Iraq/ Afghanistan).
