The Night I Met Hank Williams 1/19/04
The Night I Met Hank Williams written by Ron Losey Jan 19, 2004
just tonight i was sitting in my chair I heard this heavenly voice, so sweet and fair so familiar and yet from the past I wondered how long this chill would last
a ghostly figure i seen in the room it took on a bluish gloom the sound of a fiddle and steel I just knew this couldn't be real
no words were spoken, but yet i could hear The voice of Hank Williams, i heard in my ear he said howdy friend, i just wanted to say hi its been so long since i went to the sweet by and by
we talked of songs of long ago, he told me things, you'll never know we talked of seeing the light of things that are wrong and some that are right
off in the distance, i heard that lonesome whistle blow he began to seem restless, as if he was ready to go i heard the strings of a guitar begin to ring off in the distance, i heard that whiperwill sing
just as soon as he had came, he was gone humming along to a sad lonesome song but if the good lords willin' and the creeks don't rise someday soon we'll meet again, up in paradise
Howdy Folks! A Big thanks for your friendship! Thats a Great honour for me! Greetings from Rostock, by the Baltic-Sea / North Germany! ROCKIN REELIN COUNTRYSTYLE! and with a Great Big smile Ray Maddox
