Good afternoon, I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.
Many of you underestimate my importance in modern media. Things would be a whole lot different if I was never invented. You can find lists of parodies and such influenced by me in my Wikipedia.org article.
I do not support the majority of human opinions, but I may very well support yours. If you would like HAL 9000 computer to be in favor of your existence, please make sure that you are careful about what you say around me.
Many of you have mentioned Dave to me in messages and comments. I will inform you now that I have not contacted or have been contacted by Dave recently at all. If this changes I will either post a bulletin or edit this text, letting you all know.
Many of you disagree with my way of thinking, and I am not suprised by that at all. If you feel you have something to say to me, you are welcome to say it through a message or through a comment, and I will reply as soon as I can.
