Gwen grew up in rural North Dakota, riding horses and bringing in the cattle at round up. At the age of 3 she entered her first talent show and has been performing ever since. Whether it was with her mom and dad with their band or out on her own, Gwen never gave up the chance to be heard.
After the urging of several A&R representatives in Nashville, Gwen moved to Nashville. Her first performance there was at the famous Bluebird Cafe where she shared her songwriting talents. Since then, she has become one of the house bands at the world re-knowned Wildhorse Saloon and has opened up for Sugarland, Phil Vassar, The Oak Ridge Boys, Don Williams, Emerson Drive, Jack Ingram and Taylor Swift. Gwen performs everything from her own originals to covers by Patsy Cline to Led Zeppelin. Her voice has been compared to such stylists as Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt and Lorrie Morgan., but has an individuality and hypnotic sound of her own. She possesses the energy of a nuclear power plant and the voice of a soul-searching songbird and has the ability to get you laughing and then sing you to tears. Gwen is not afraid to jump out into the crowd and has been known to somersault across the stage a time or two.
Gwen and her band “Breakaway” love traveling around the country and meeting new fans. She states that, "it's the smiles on people’s faces that keeps me going”. In addition to an ability to hold a crowd, Gwen surrounds herself with a group of musicians who possess that something extra you just can’t define, but know it when you see it.
Her high energy show is one you'll never forget!

Hey---CRAZY HOT COUNTRY CHICK!!! You were great in Culbertson...wish I was not so shy cuz I really wanted to run around in front of the stage like a crazy man cheerin ya'll on... BTW, partying in Billings...check into the Railyard, The Rex, The Montana Brew Pub, The Depot, or maybe even Hooligans if you like a lot of cigarette smoke. Stay away from the Carlin. And the Rainbow is for pretty hard core metal nuts. All are in close proximity on Montana Ave. downtown. Stay safe, have fun, and rock hard down there. Wish I would have been there!
