Gulivert was only 15 when he opened for the first time the doors of a club. That was in Germany…
And when he got in, all his music influences – a little bit of Rock 'n' Roll (from Hendrix to the Sex Pistols, the Pink Floyd and Nirvana), a lot of dance music (Eurodance : Snap & co), some French hip-hop and variety, a lot of disco, soul and new wave music (without forgetting Daft Punk) – exploded: he discovered what “clubbing” is. And his body began to dance.
A few years later, switching to electronic rhythms, he split off from his guitar, that had accompanied him for 8 years, and was given 2 decks and a mixer. He started mixing.
Gulivert turned 20 and he got his first residency as a dj at the Golden Gate Club in Strasbourg. This newcomer was already showing his taste for original and highly specialized tracks. Years passed by, he got other residencies: he took the control of the dance floor and learnt how to read his audience, to make them dance, discover new sounds, and travel by the music…
This young French man, educated with German minimal techno, has now made all Eastern France dance.
He leaps everywhere and rocks places where he's not really expected to play. From “In Elektro We Trust” parties at the Laiterie (one the most famous concert hall in France) to many radio shows or sound designing for shops like Lee Store (Paris) or Be You (K) (Strasbourg). As residencies are not anymore challenging for him, he's looking for more specific gigs. Thus, his records have brought him back to Germany, where everything started (Ludwigshaffen, Mannheim, Kehl…), but also all over France (Paris, Montpellier, Antibes…) and Spain (Gandia…).
He's now a resident at “F**k me, I'm a Muppet” parties, the rallying event between France and Germany; he's also a resident for “No Time 4 Sleeping” parties in Strasbourg and “Hot Times” parties in Paris.
He's also studying audio engineering and working on his own productions. He's looking forward to making you listen to them soon…
Gulivert gives you energy, matter to dance. Loops of complicity that surround you. Don't even think about resisting: he just wants you to feel good and to interact with him; he wants to be in you, to be you. For sure, you will discover sensations you have never experienced before in your biologic or electronic bodies. A subtle balance, not too much, not too little… Just a tiny touch of reason and another of madness.
