LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Thank you all for a great retreat and an even better year. You guys really grew close over this past year and together we will accomplish even more next year...and of course have even more fun! I speak for every leader when I say that you have all made us very proud and made it well worth the time, energy, and hard work we dedicate to the group. Feel free to spread the word of the Good Shepherd Youth Group and it's MySpace page to all those unfortunate enough to not know who we are. Finally, if you have any youth group pictures you'd like to post, the easiest way to do it would be to tag the Good Shepherd Youth Group actually being in the photo (it doesn't matter where).
Please make sure you're on our e-mail list and are receiving our e-mails. We will be having a couple of meetings and activities going on throughout the summer and the only way to find out when we're getting together next is through e-mail. If you haven't received any Good Shepherd Youth Group e-mails and would like to, just send me a message with your e-mail address. You don't want to be left out of all the fun do ya?
Again, thank you for all the laughs, tears, inspiration, and memories we've shared. Let's pray that we can grow even closer together, and closer to God. Remember, this is your group. Make it something special. :)
GOD IS GOOD!
The Youth Group MySpace is run by Chris (STOP BOOING!) so any messages you send to the MySpace will read by Chris but can and likely will be shared with the rest of the adult leaders as we all care what you have to say. If you ever want to reach any of the leaders and don't have their contact info you can message me and I'll let you know how to reach them.
Also, Feel free to message the Youth Group MySpace if you have anything you'd like to ask us, whether it be about the retreat, growth, topics we've covered, relationships, or anything else plaguing your mind. The Youth Group and Youth Group MySpace is always here for you and will respond as quickly as possible.
P.S. If your having any trouble adding me, my "last name" is Youth Group.
This is the Offically Unofficial Youth Group MySpace page for the Church of the Good Shepherd’s Youth Group. Good Shepherd is a Roman Catholic church that is located in Holbrook, New York.
The Youth Group is a youth ministry that is intended to act as a continuation of the parish’s spiritual formation program that focuses on young people after Confirmation, who are high school students (9th - 12th grade). Although it is run through a Catholic church, Youth Group is open to high school students who are non-Catholics and non-parishioners (we have plenty of both).
We meet weekly at the church on Sundays between approximately 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.(starting back up on September 21st). The program is fully chaperoned by adult parishioners and led by former and current members of the Youth Group with help from our fearless leader Tony Bellizzi. Our meetings vary greatly from week to week. In a given month we are likely to have a meeting that address’ a topics facing teens, a meeting where we go out as a group, a social/game night, and a skit based meeting (Oh, how we like-a our skits).
The Youth Group also has an annual 3-day retreat where it is impossible not to have a good time and grow both personally and spiritually. I would tell you more about the retreats but what happens on retreat stays at the retreat (words really can't do it justice).
If you are a young person interested in being a part of Good Shepherd’s Youth Group, feel free to leave us a message or come down to one of our Sunday meetings.
