LEAH GREGORY - Lead Vocalist. This is Leah’s first, last and only band. Her dedication to music and instinct for live performance are naturally powerful. She doesn’t just sing songs, she puts them on and owns them. Influenced by Robert Plant and Whitney Houston, and compared to Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays, Leah apparently sang her first words as a baby. Then it was simply a question of waiting twenty years for a tarot reader who had seen her born to introduce her to Chris. Nice one Mike! Leah has a performing arts degree, but much more usefully an encyclopaedic knowledge of Fawlty Towers. How rude!
CHRIS GUARD - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals. Born in Hammersmith, London but with his heart lost to deepest Cornwall, Chris plays rhythm guitar and sings. Hugely influenced by the Beatles, he has explored many styles of music, while always remaining faithful to the craft of pure song-writing. His dad is a playwright, his mother a poet and his sister a novelist, so to avoid a clash of family interests Chris writes songs! He was also a child actor and voiced Frodo Baggins in the animated Lord of the Rings. Could this have been what persuaded Luke Silver to join the band…? Claiming to have been an otter in a previous incarnation, Gregoryz Girl is the band Chris has been waiting for.
TOM BURDEN - Lead Guitar. Hailing from verdant Wokingham, lead guitarist Tom Burden has a physics degree and was recently offered a job by the Ministry of Defence. Thankfully for him and Gregoryz Girl a chance conversation with Chris at a family party last summer steered him away from nuclear fission and towards band fusion. Striking up an organic rapport with Chris’s electro-acoustic rhythms Tom’s flare for creating creamy, melodic lead lines began to define what has now become Gregoryz Girl’s unique sound.. Self-taught and influenced by Tommy Emmanuel, Tom sees the guitar as an uncharted adventure, inspiring eternal curiosity. Well, at least he’s not on fire!
LUKE SILVER - Drums. Originally from High Wycombe but now snuggled up near Heathrow, Luke Silver is a perfect songwriter’s drummer. He listens and does the simple things before adding original dynamics from his wide range of custom drums and cymbals. Citing Incubus, Jon Wysocki and Travis Barker, Luke’s darker influences provide an intriguing foil to Gregoryz Girlz’ electro-acoustic roots. The result is unique. While in the world of darkness and roots, Luke claims a natural affinity with Frodo Baggins and a debt of gratitude to his ex-cat. Meet him and you’d understand why.
STUART WALTON Producer/Sound Engineer/Bass. Originally from Yorkshire, can play the guitar and bass guitar amazingly and mixes and produces our wonderful tracks with great skill. Aye!

‘Gregoryz Girl….did themselves proud. Leah has one of the best rock chick voices I have heard…great control and a wide range. The band has real potential and I look forward to seeing them progress in 2008.’
From the Review by Peter Coulston in Seatwave
“Fronted Leah Gregory, Gregoryz Girl are a London based four-piece currently intriguing audiences across the city with their mellow acoustic trilling. The band are garnering attention on the back of original songs with an unremitting urgency, and Gregory’s undeniably powerful voice, somewhere between Eva Cassidy and Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays’).”
