Sounds Like
If you combined Jerry Douglas with Rob Ikes, thew in a dab of Chet Atkins and a dash of Jimmy Hendricks, and topped that off with some Roy Smeck, I wouldnt sound anything like that.
VALERIE SMITH AND LIBERTY PIKE ..
I was born and raised in Polk county Missouri graduated Marion C Early high school in the thriving metropolis of Morrisville in 2000. Started playing Dobro around 1992 when my folks turned me loose with the brass bodied Dobro that my late grandpa Dohle had left me. I was a founding member of the Ripplin Waters bluegrass band in '95 pickin with them until '02 when they took a break. Waterloo Boy bluegrass band from '01 to around 05. Joined up with Just In Tyme bluegrass band in '04, and with them until our banjo picker (Eli) took off to play bass for Nothin' Fancy. In 05 took off with The Arkamo Rangers, who really helped broaden my musical taste and ability, and show me that I had lived under a rock for the past 24 years, however sometimes it didn't seem all that bad. I can honestly saw without the Arkamo I would never have been able to do what I am now. I miss pickin' with them guys and was saddened to hear that they parted ways in 08. I moved to Murfreesboro TN in July of 06 and started pickin' with Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike. I love every min of it but do miss home alot.
