About Gravel Road Radio

Gravel Road Radio is a weekly, three hour devotion to American Roots music. Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Old-time, Alt. Country, Blues, you get the idea. I enjoy the tradition and stylings of those genres listed but I also enjoy new songs constructed with them in mind. There's something magical about familiarity even when it's a new original tune.

Shows may follow a topical tangent that occurs within the fun filled imagination and logical dot connecting of the host. Other times, the song sequence may be as random as the behavior of characters in a Larry McMurtry novel. I'll make no promises but I'll guarantee good music.

Gravel Road Radio is produced and hosted by Dennis James. It airs every Tuesday from 2 pm - 5 pm central time on KRUU-LP FM. The station streams live and you can listen by going to www.kruufm.com.
