Influences: Since this is a Goodiepal fan site and not an official one, it’s hard for us to say what Goodiepals influences are.
But for sure, he has listened to a good amount of music, before he did start out doing his things.
We know he is quite keen on an artist like Teppop and would jump out of a 10th story window for him, if he wasn't afraid of stairs. +

Forlaget PORK SALAD PRESS er stolte af at præsentere en ny 9-dobbelt, håndbundet vinyludgivelse af den særegne komponist Goodiepal.
Gæoudjiparl aka Goodiepal har en helt unik status i det musikalske miljø både herhjemme og i udlandet. Med en dyb indsigt i den oldgamle musikhistorie, og en stor fascination for den elektroniske genre, har han formået at bryde med al kompositorisk vanetænkning. Med sin selvopfundne kompositoriske stil - som bl.a. inkluderer planeter og mekaniske fugle - skaber han musik, der er fuldstændig uden for kategori. Selvom Gæoudjiparls musik er funderet i den elektroniske genre, så har hans udgivelser altid været på vinyl - udgivet i meget små oplag - hvilket har gjort dem til en eftertragtet samlervare. Derfor er Pork Salad Press stolte af at udgive en samlet udgivelse af Goodiepals musik, i et håndbundet box-sæt som inkluderer 9 plader med Goodiepals samlede Mort Aux Vaches kompositioner 2001-2007. Denne håndbundne udgivelse er begænset til 45 eksemplarer, og inkluderer 2 unikke ikoner (time travel objects), 1 eller 2 originale noder/numre, 1 forunderligt object of wonder og 7 vinyler fra Mort Aux Vaches serien, og det originale Mainpal Inv./Skipp 2003 vinyl edition of the Skipp 2001 Narc Beacon album, Nag Nag Bacon. Alle objekter har været med på Gæoudjiparls mange rejser, og har været en del af Gæoudjiparls performances 2001-2007.
Denne nye udgivelse vil blive lanceret af Pork Salad Press på New York Art Book Fair, 27. - 30. september, og vil fra 19/10 - 17/11 blive udstillet på galleriet Andersen_s.

About Mort Aux Vaches: The music of Goodiepal is often described as emanating from playgrounds, fairgrounds and other surreal locales, yet that image is wrong. The significance of his music is found in other places : it is the sound of death, though death in the form of play. Modern anthropology tells us that neolithic inhabitants of Northern Europe were unable to see their own faces. In a time of no mirrors, in a land of moving waters, one could only see what an other looked like. Some accepted this fate, but for others this grew into madness. Scientists have discovered that many even killed themselves, hoping that when their souls left the body they would get a glimpse of their face in passing. Hovering over the dead body, seeing their face for the first time, they heard sounds like these made by Goodiepal. They

Komponisten Vagn E. Olsson får hjælp af nordjyden Goodiepal fra Bedsted til at indspille sin debutplade, men det ender med at Evol fra Spanien kommer forbi, og det bliver en musikalsk hyldest til den 75-årige fødselar Henning Christiansen. Han er faktisk far til multi-social-koncept-kunstneren Bjørnstjerne fra Danmarks ’open source’-idémagere Superflex.
Håper livet i London er bra. Hyggelig å treffes i Riga, bare synd de rappa den bjellen din.
Har fortsatt veldig lyst til å lage den vinylen med deg, men det blir nok en stund før musikken er ferdig. Vi kan legge planene forsiktig i en skuff og ta dem frem når tiden er inne.
