About James Redfield...
James Redfield is the author of the international best seller,
The Celestine Prophecy, and five other books focusing on human spiritual experience. Before turning his attention to writing, James earned a Master's degree in counseling and spent more than 15 years as a therapist to abused adolescents and their families. During this time, he began to witness in his clients, and in current polls and popular books, a growing interest in what he called "the real experience of spirituality" arising from within all spiritual traditions around the world, and characterized by the perception of mysterious coincidences which when followed lead us into a deeper connection with the divine, a greater sense of mission, and a deeper realization of mankind's spiritual evolution.
This observation grew into his adventure novel,
The Celestine Prophecy, in which he describes nine insights each of us is acquiring on our journey into a more fulfilling and conscious life. The book instantly became a world-wide "must read" and was followed by two sequels:
The Tenth Insight: Holding the Vision and
The Secret of Shambhala: In Search of the Eleventh Insight.He is also the author of the non-fiction title,
The Celestine Vision, and co-authored
God and the Evolving Universe. In 2004, James became deeply involved in the making of
