thousands people together in a great celebration of self-determination and freedom.
More than 6.000 people in the first day and about 15.000 people in the second day attended the event. The three different stages gave to all of us the chance to share 2 nights with all the different cultures and music styles and breaking some pseudo-barriers, pseudo-identities and whatever commercialized trend and style that keeps us away from each other.
This was a proof of unity, love and ecstatic enthusiastic life!
We have to thank all artists and people that participated in the creation of this open public autonomous ephemeral zone and we hope all the good vibes that came out from our co-existence there to become stronger and wiser in the future.
The "parental" eyes of the future president will be as cold and vicious as the eyes of all the past and dead presidents. /The Earth is assassinated. /We have to Grow up !Fast and Sudden as a thunder in the cloudy night! Placing "art" solely in an art context is, in a way, relegating it to exist only within that context. Restricting the distribution of and opportunities to access new ideas and emotions is something "govern-mental" institutions do. Why voluntarily censor yourself? We see Art, Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Enthusiasm, Collective Ecstasy and Revolt as mental and emotional practices perfectly suited as a tool for enablement, a mental liberator that in turn can lead to positive physical changes.

Void Network first appeared in 1990 in Athens with aim the radicalization of every day life and the construction of situations in Public Space through the creation of Utopian Public Environments. Hello, Global Eye is part of Void Network, for info on Global Earth Academy and our participation in the 1st Athens Biennial "Destroy Athens" see: http://voidnetwork.blogspot.com/ for what we are up to.
Global Eye is a vj ARTISTS collective and database of images collected and offered from ever growing sources that are drummed live to music. By matching the live image drumming to the music at any given time the set adopts a HYPNOTIC quality, allowing people to enter a DEEPER state of mind, enhancing the dance EXPERIENCE. The sets are constructed in a way that anyone can JOIN IN and play them, as we purposely do not use any VJ software. In this past year around 80 different people have drummed Global Eye sets in clubs, universities, social centers, galleries, film festivals, protests sites, beaches, squares and streets.
Works by Global Eye and its members have been shown at:

European Media Arts Festival in Osnabruck,
Venice Film Festival Italy,

Full Moon Festival and
Vuuv Experience in Germany.
Some of the main subjects we cover are:
Presenting the STUNNING BEAUTY of our planet, the universe and LIFE.... This planet being a living organism, comparing it with microcosm, macrocosm, human body, insects, urban society, technology...
Presenting greed, selfishness and apathy as a virus / parasite on the planet/the bigger organism.
An analysis of psychological manipulations used in advertising, e.g. stereotypes, propaganda, consumerism, mental health, pre-defined ideals (beauty, fitness, work.) revealing images that get bypassed by mainstream media.
We believe that the biggest impairment of our current society is the belief that the individual is incapable of IMPROVING their world. As a result we aim to deconstruct power structures whilst EMPOWERING the individual.
The communication system we use is intended to break through barriers of education, age, cultural background and apathy.
We consider parties as a vital MEETING POINT OF MINDS in a state of openness, our set is designed to provoke thought, inspiration, initiate conversation, convey information and hopefully lead to further CREATION OF POSITIVE CHANGE.
We would like to see people, common interesting people from different cultures, ages and backgrounds, people with common interests that would form new networks of relations, webs of a new way of social life based on interdependence, empathy and wisdom and standing antagonistically to a world of apathy, ego, greed, fear, lies, and boundaries. We would like to see affinity groups, open meeting points, collective experiences, great piratical adventures, new myths and fairytales, wonderful nights and inspirational daydreaming, future revolutionary visions and extremely powerful ecstatic collective moments.
We would like to see anti-dogmatic open-hearted people that have the ability to challenge themselves, to challenge their knowledge, to challenge their way of life, to challenge their societies, the public institutions and to challenge all governments.
We would like to see companies of friends that fight against capitalistic companies for a better life on planet Earth for everybody.
From now on all friendship will be Revolutionary
The main project of Global Earth Academy is to bring physically together creative people wishing to engage with these issues, help each other be better prepared to form and enforce their dreams, provide a close network of friends for future collaborations and support.
Our plan is whilst exploring our planet Earth stay in a series of natural and urban locations, meet up with like minded positive revolutionary people from all over the world, spending anything between a few days or a few months teaching each other, learning through experiential collaborative projects, exchanging information and inspiration, creating, sharing, growing and built up together a great free open public festival as a conclusion of this meeting.
Our day programe is simple : Every individual, being both student and teacher, aiming to posses the collective knowledge of the whole group. Sharing and exchange of practical information, technologies, artworks and skills in the mornings, putting it in creative collaborative practice in the afternoons and spending celebrative free time in the evenings. At the end of each Global Earth Academy residency the results of all the cross platform collaborative projects will be presented in the form of an interactive artistic show allowing for the open public social interaction with the local community and the wider world.
Skills to exchange and put in practice: media, photography, music, painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, graphics, fashion, design, theatre, dance, poetry, political philosophy, anthropology, spiritual cultivation, confidence, determination, science, electronics, software, sustainable living, culture jamming, moneyless urban survival, squatting, wilderness survival, zen aikido, reiki, meditation, nutrition, health, communication, philosophy, economics, anti-business, piratic managing, traveling, collaboration, Kosmo-Political Consciousness, happiness, empathy, wisdom...
