Hi folks, there's a local musical group--guitars/singers--usually a whole band of young fellows who seem to be making quite a following for their entertainment skills--who is it? www. gitlit. net
"Git Lit"-- the band. Monday morning March 31, 2008 the local radio station 99.3 showcased them on the live radio feed from Rocky Mount's Highway Diner on Winstead Avenue (for some locals, the 'shiny diner').

Two of the group members played a live acoustic session over the radion waves and inside the diner. In fact, one of the members playing guitar actually works in the diner--go have some coffee and a meal at the Highway Diner to find out just who he is.
The two young men I heard and saw this morning were definitely talented musicians and can likely do well at playing an audience. You can read about them on their Internet site at www. gitlit. net which will link to their myspace page.
Understand they have several CD's already produced and ready for sale and are working on another studio session for another CD. Looks to me like they can play Southern Rock and also entertain with acoustic sessions (remember Eric Clapton and the Layla unplugged version?).. or, for old times--the folk-rock days of the 70's... somehow they have captured it.
Anyway, if you need a group for a dance or some nice listening music (although, don't expect dinner music--this is the 'real stuff')... contact them to see if they can fit you in with their busy schedules. a big PS:... buy one of their CD's--they might just become collector's items in t
