Born and raised in the North Pole, Chicago.. GSPOT aka Ghetto Scientifik, aka Galactic Superior aka Mean Green aka Rusty Shanks aka Mr. Shut It Down aka Dr. Ernst Grafenberg... has been ripping mics in Chicago and the Midwest since '88. Orgins: Humble beginnings, co-founder of TheGrassIs (circa 91-94) along with BEAT DADDY FISH. Dropped self-released EP "You Can't Bluff Father Time or Fool Mother Nature" recorded live at the Wild Hare. CHI-ROCK Ch. 3, KNOMADZ, STONY ISALND, SB, TBA, CMW, POR,BRICKHEADZ affiliate...down by law.
Teamed up with DEMON of the KNOMADZ . Rocking (then) open mics at Lower Links, (Original) HotHouse, Estelle's, Terror Dome, to (todays) Sub-T , Note, etc.
Currently, sole MCEE of the trio SIDEWALK SKOLAZ (est. '94). Members include BeatdaddyFish on production and DJ FORM A.K.A. ANGRY SKINNY on the cutz (act like u know).
The SKOLAZ are back in '06 with their new album "Science is Good" OUT NOW!!! on Organize Records .
...also currently getting wreck with the diverse (funk,soul, reggae, hiphop) band, Just Infinite. Live instrumentation + live vocalist + live mcee= LIVE VIBE.
GSPOT solo LP "Established: 1973" is in production. GSPOT has started dabbling in beat production and will flex some of his expanded repretoire on "1973", having produced a significant portion of his first solo exploit.
