Gee_string's Interests
General
Network and computer stuff, guitar, keyboard and loud, raucous music with lots of 5ths and distortion. Got it?

Heroes
My kids. They all did well, sometimes with my help and sometimes in spite of me.
My parents. You never know what you have until they're gone, but it's better late said than never. And I still have Mom.
My wife. Hot damn!! She puts up with a lot. And she looks good, too.
My dog. He has his stories to tell.
Rusty Cooley. Somehow I just can't imagine a frantic shredder with patience enough to instruct and encourage an aging wannabe, but here he is.
Lots of other guitar heroes. See my "Who I'd Like To Meet" list.
I like to think that I'm on the threshold of redefining my life, you know, a real Renaissance man. I'm kind of close to retirement (whatever that is), but not too far removed from the stuff I used to do way back when, before family and career took over. I'm a network engineer by profession and I really do enjoy the nature of my work. I've been on extended vacation this entire summer due to a reorganization of my company's field engineering department that made me a free agent. Now, before you think that this has all the makings of another tragic late-age crisis tale, bury the notion. Network engineers make good bucks and never have time to spend it, so I used the opportunity afforded by my newly found freedom to get reacquainted with some of the things I wish I had done long ago. Like pick up the guitar again. I'll add more later as I think about it.

You've been asking WHEN you can order our new CD. Well...
Breaking news! Odin’s Court has just signed to ProgRock Records!
You can preorder the new CD Deathanity as of today.
Deathanity is the latest effort from Odin’s Court, a Maryland, USA band. Deathanity is an ambitious concept album dealing with the effects mankind’s actions are having on the planet. Alternate views are offered through the use of instrumentation, lyrics, sound effects, and various vocal clips. Ambience, dynamics, and soul are combined with complexity, groove, and energy in a song oriented structure, to create a unique, surreal landscape. Each song, dealing with a different theme, is accompanied by a newly created word and definition in the album art. Special guest vocalists include Tom Englund (Evergrey) and Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica).
Hi! Thanks for adding me! I hope you continue to enjoy my songs. When you get a sec, comment me back and know what you think of them (o: Have a beautiful day.
Thanks! Yes he is definately one of my most influential guitarists- particularly his acoustic renaissance music with Blackmore's Night. I'm glad you liked it!
I have written an original in the style of Possum Goes to Prague that I'll post as soon as I can play it better. It's very difficult!
