RECORDING AT PETER GABRIEL'S
STUDIOS ABOUT TO BEGIN
Gavin flew to London this past Tuesday to begin preparations for tracking at Real World Studios. Finishing pre-production today, he will travel to Box to meet the Real World staff and get acquainted with the facilities. Kyle Meek, an Emmy-award winning documentary filmmaker, has been chronicling the trip thus far, and his work will, beginning tomorrow, be available in a series of video blogs to be posted on Gavin's MySpace page. The segments will discuss the day-to-day events of the trip and later contribute to a long-form documentary of the Real World experience. From winning the contest through completion of his third studio album, the documentary will give an inside look into Gavin's recording process and the special connection he shares with his fans.

GAVIN WINS REAL WORLD
STUDIOS CONTEST
Out of 1,700 artists entered in the SSL/Eventful/Tunecore 'Lay It Down And Mix It Up In The UK' Contest, Gavin took first place yesterday, winning by a margin of over 13,000 votes. All told, 22,000 fans voted for him, more than doubling the number of votes cast for the second place finisher. Having won, Gavin and four band members will travel, all-expenses paid, to Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in December to begin work on his third studio album (due for release in summer 2008).
