I love Prose. I love poetry, but prose has a freerer charm to it, and for years I've been stockpiling notes and lyrics and inspirational quotes. From all of these my work has tentatively emerged. I'm hoping it hasn't relied too much on any one source of inspiration..
The unwritten rule of poetry is that it should never be kept quiet, and whenever possible should be outspoken, not read to yourself.
So thats what I'm doing. And I'm really enjoying doing it. =D
Hi Gareth, How are you? I hope you are well and looking forward to a fun filled weekend. I just thought I would let you know that I am playing this Saturday(29th September) at Liverpool Academy 2 supporting Manchester band Puressence. I know it's short notice but If you are not up to anything on saturday night I would really appreciate your support. It's supposed to be a tenner to get in but anyone who wants to come along to see me can get on my guestlist for only a fiver. If you need any further info about the gig just let me know. It would be great to see you there but if not have a great weekend and I hope to see you soon. Cheers, Mark
hey gareth, hope you're well. please forgive another shameless plug, i thought it would be nice to go round everyone individually to spread the word...
'coming up for air' (previously unreleased track from 2003), and my record 'growing flowers by candlelight' are now available on digital download from i tunes worldwide (they'll be on other download stores soon also).

Haha, sounds wonderful! I have the beautiful wand my aunt made me, and our choir did a Harry Potter song two years ago and decided that it called for thirty handmade robes. So I'll steal some of those and come join you!! Our show opens tomorrow night. Scary....we had two run-throughs today, the first one I kept messing up lines, but the second (the one they were actually filming) I did fairly well! A few voice cracks, but nothing that can't be ironed out before tomorrow. AND I got a friend to get our entire cast our own midnight showing of the movie Hairspray (which I have been waiting for YEARS to see!! I'm dressing up and everything!!)
So, I was just listening to some of your poetry again, and I wanted to let you know a) How beautiful your writing is and b) How gorgeous your accent is (I know, sooo American of me to say that). But it's true.
So when are we conspiring to sneak out of the country and meet somewhere? Because I'm starting to think that's our only option anymore. :-)

Ah! You are so incredible and unique, and I mean that from the depths of my soul. Your accent is beautiful, your words ring true. Thank you for sharing, and thank you doubly for the kind compliments on my page. It's nice to meet you! :)
Hi Gareth,
Many thanks for your comment - much appreciated, and I'm glad you liked my tunes.
Great to hear you following the great tradition of Liverpudlian musical poets - Good Luck!!
