I am an acoustic guitarist/singer/songwriter with over 25 years experience at crafting a broad spectrum of original music. The songs are rich in mythos and emotion lyrically and musically...held by unique chording and diverse rhythms. The music is highly original and combines elements of jazz, rock, contemporary folk, latin and more. Influences: Pat Metheny, Oregon, Simon, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, Sting, jazzier Joni Mitchell, Cam Newton.
I have written over 50 songs the past 2 years and just completed a studio album titled Tangled in the Moon. This album includes me on acoustic guitar/vocals, Bill Athens on upright and electric bass; Ken Ollis on drums/percussion and Mitch Imori on various horns and reeds.
Mitch is an amazing flute/oboe/woodwind player and my main accompaniment for small gigs. He is a classically trained musician that subs with the symphony. His musical ideal is Paul McCandlis from the reknowned group Oregon, and he compares the music I write to them in various ways.
I would like to connect with mature musicians who can feel and listen, more than read charts, to record, play PNW festivals, special events and clubs...in order of preference: Bass...Upright and/or fretless bass would be great but standard electric bass is fine, percussion/congas, woodwind player, keyboards.

History: I was a player for 22 years until 1990...I composed music that was all original, unique in style lyrical, emotive, and with a strong rhythmic foundation. My group then was called Geo. The quartet included me on acoustic 12 and 6 string guitars, run thru a Roland jazz chorus amp; along with woodwind/horn (alto & tenor sax, flute, clarinet, recorder) fretless and acoustic bass and conga/percussion or drums- all instrumental.
Kids and family led to putting it away. It was a very tough choice to make.
My youngest son, Cam (that's him next to me in the profile pic on jamwave.com) started playing a few years back and nagged me for over a year to get a guitar again. I finally did in January 05. I never thought I would play again after not touching a guitar for 15 years, but a surprising flood of new music came.
I am dedicating Tangled in the Moon to my son Cam. It was thru his persistent encouragement that music came back into my life. Bless you Cam .
