While receiving direct transmissions from the Hunab Ku on Summer Solstice 2007, Brian Thackeray (guitars, loops, percussion) Matthew Clark (drums, harmonium, and percussion), and Abel Okugawa (synths and engineering, mixing and mastering) recorded over two and a half hours of raw improvisations in the Monkeyclaus Studio. This took place just after a high noon Sun worship ritual. The session was then mixed a week later, as one 59 minute chron-illogical chunk of the transmission was chosen to be given to the people.
The Mayan Factor can be credited with planting seeds, and at times clarifying certain far out notions that encouraged the creation of this particular music. Brian is known for his guitar shredding in West Coast pysche rock bands such as Dark Yoga, and Brave Priest.
Matthew is the drummer for Ostinato as well as Grand Banks. Abel is the chief engineer of the Monkeyclaus studio and recorded the session, while laying down some heavy synths. Abel is a fountain of music. He is a prolific solo artist and collaborator.

In celebration of the release of the "Direct Transmissions..." CD-R on Yarnlazer, we hit the road with a fresh new perspective. Brian flew in from Portland, OR and brought with him bassman and cosmic dancer Dan Barone. Those two play together in Dark Yoga as well as Brave Priest. Maxx Katz also joined the group to add some female energy as well as her guitar shedding cosmic flute skills, and guttural howls. Abel was unable to travel, unfortunately. Matthew coaxed his crackvan "Consuela" into action and we loaded up the gear for a week of shows, some of us meeting each other for the first time the day of our first ever show, in Brooklyn. The chemistry of the group in the van and onstage, crystalized daily and a bold new alliance was forged. Our good friend the "Mangler" drove us about and kept our shit together. Shows were amazing.
The success of the first tour has inspired us to tour the West Coast in Summer '08. We have delusions of fantasy. We are going to tour all the way up to Alaska and back. Keep posted for more info. Please write us if you have ever seen "bigfoot".
After two hours of internet searching I can find no evidence that either confirms or denies the possibility that Thomas Jefferson was in fact the inventor of the closet.
Urine's main constituents are water and urea. However, it contains small quantities of many hormones and metabolites, including corticosteroids. Urea has been claimed by some doctors to have an anti-cancer effect. In addition, the other chemicals in urine might have some effect if ingested. In 1997, Joseph Eldor, of the Theoretical Medicine Institute in Jerusalem, published a paper suggesting that because cancer cells release antigens which appear in the urine, oral autourotherapy could spur the intestinal lymphatic system to produce antibodies against these antigens. Despite these claims, there has been no research that has found drinking urine to be useful for any illness. However, human urine is normally relatively free of bacteria, since the bladder itself is normally a sterile environment. However, the urethra does contain bacteria, and this is why many physicians ask for a urine sample mid-stream, in order to allow the first few seconds of urination to wash out the bacteria within the urethra, and drinking small amounts of one's own urine is unlikely to be seriously harmful. Urinating on jellyfish stings is a common folk remedy, but has no beneficial effect and may be counterproductive as it can activate nematocysts remaining at the site of the sting.
