Fernandos Xcursion is a 6 piece band from the Port Huron area on Michigan's east side. FX was started July 25th, 2002 as just that, an xcursion into seeing what we can do. Tony and Adam had been working together for years and decided to split off from what they were doing to do more of what they wanted to do, the heavy side. Along comes Corey and Jesse into the picture. Corey and Jess have been playing together for years also..the punk side. with the combination of these duo's we played our first show 29 days from the first day of practice . Davey and Fernando came into the band one year after that. Fernandos practiced in Davy's garage and left our PA there, and soon Davey took to learning his vocal enginuity and soon became a member of the band. After a couple of years playing parties and summer shows things started comming together. We found the group of bands where we belonged. Our band is very free, we trust each other on each new song to come up with the best possible pieces for that song, and take the time and energy that it takes to make our sound. Now having numerous shows under our belt, we have a solid set of 16 songs and more and more churning on the heater.... every practice a new riff comes along and usually gets set to the side until a spark of energy relites it ...some songs have set on the burner for while, (time enough to think what we want to do with them) and have come back to be heavy hitters. songs like Lies and rails can light up a pit in a minute. We won "Battle for the Spotlight" at Harpos and got to headline our own show there. We have now opened up for big headliners DOPE and MUSHROOMHEAD, and are working on a bunch of new material. We have had some time off, but we are coming back strong! Be on the lookout! FX
