FRESH BREAD is an independent music management label based in Brisbane, dedicated to bringing the best of Australia and New Zealand's funk, dub and reggae sounds to the forefront of the music scene.
Owned and operated by Hayden Andrews and Rebecca Spooner, Fresh Bread boasts years of music industry and management experience. Fresh Bread is a rapidly expanding business that currently focuses on providing musicians and bands with the following services:
MANAGEMENT
Fresh Bread took over the management of Brisbane based funk, dub and reggae band Dubdoubt in late 2007. Since then Dubdoubt has completed a successful international tour, recorded and launched their new EP and video clip and secured a distribution deal with Shogun Distribution.
Dubdoubt are a six piece Australasian band who are widely recognised as one of the most exciting emerging acts coming out of Brisbane, Australia. The band has a strong New Zealand affiliation with singer/songwriter Hayden Andrews hailing from the Wairarapa.
Dubdoubt have been winning over Australian audiences with their unique blend of funk, dub and reggae since their conception in 2001, and boast a rapidly growing international fan base. They are regarded as one of Australia’s most dynamic live acts and as a result have become a quintessential part of the summer festival circuit, where they consistently play to full capacity crowds. Their distinctive sound is infectious, uplifting and full of positive vibes.

Fresh Bread also manage new Brisbane based funk, country and dub band the Cheap Fakes.
The Cheap Fakes are essentially a four piece collaborative from Brisbane that are not limited by genres or styles and although predominantly steeped in off-beat guitars and catchy melodies the band combine their eclectic tastes and flavours to include funk, dub, country, reggae and dance to create music that is engaging, uplifting and most importantly great to dance to.
Although the Cheap Fakes are relatively new to the Brisbane music scene, the individual members of the group possess years of professional performance experience. Singer/songwriter Hayden Andrews has fronted Brisbane band Dubdoubt for the past seven years, with career credentials including two EP's and one full length album, a national distribution deal, two international tours, numerous national tours and performances at major events including Gold Coast Big Day Out, Woodford Folk Festival, Island Time Reggae Festival, Peats Ridge, Brisbane Festival Speigeltent and Valley Fiesta to name a few.
The Cheap Fakes have been collaborating on their forthcoming album with members of Afro Dizzi Act, Ruby Blue, Kafka, The Daybridges, Upsteppers, Dubmarine and Dangerbird and have created a unique and intriguing sound that is certain to become one of Brisbane's most distinguished and dynamic live acts.
Creative Manager, Hayden Andrews has a background in promotional photography for the music industry and has photographed numerous bands including Danny Widdicombe, Sime Nugent, Rollerball, Dubdoubt, Wilson Pickers, The Boat People, Shihad and more. His images have been used by various media publications in the past, mainly promotional material for bands as well as documentary footage of some of Australia’s best-known music festivals.
DESIGN
Hayden also has extensive experience in design for the music industry in promotional material including posters, media adverts, record sleeve and merchandise design and more.
PUBLISHING
Fresh Bread aim to launch the publishing side of the business in the near future, with an extensive database in place and an equally impressive catalogue of music ranging from instrumental, country, funk, dub and reggae.
