Craziness...looking through my old hotmail account and found an email from 1997 from you. You know that means we have now known each other for about 12 years....anyways hope all is well. I will be failing the NY and MA bars in a few days.

"It's important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It's not only life of babies, but it's life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet."

Regarding elections in the Middle East:
"I like the idea of people running for office. There's a positive effect when you run for office. Maybe some will run for office and say, 'Vote for me, I look forward to blowing up America'. I don't know, I don't know if that will be their platform or not. But it's -I don't think so. I think people who generally run for office say, 'Vote for me, I'm looking forward to fixing your potholes, or making sure you got bread on the table'."

Regarding the Lewinsky controversy:
"That's a chapter, the last chapter of the 20th, 20th, the 21st century that most of us would rather forget. The last chapter of the 20th century. This is the first chapter of the 21st century."

k, one more
"Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream."

Okay, thanks for the heads up. And we shouldn't talk about poetry or culture or theater or life or...well, we probably shouldn't even talk because all of that is political, too.

hmmmm....

If I continue to purify myself of the political, I MIGHT end up in the state of complete beatitude...you know, Brahma or Nirvana, the state of contemplating nothingness

yeah, i was really filled with anger for that lady. i don't think that conservatives are what's wrong with this country. in some ways, they're what right about this country. they have a voice, and they use it... maybe they're trying to limit others' voices, but they're not being successful, and it's fine to TRY. however, knee-jerk LIBERALS just sit back and don't use the voice they've got. drives me crazy. no one changed anything by silence. no one...well...maybe a monk or two, but that's a different kind of silence... taking the high road while people dismantle the freeway...it is not a moral victory...it is a loss...
