   About The Foxymorons

It was an accident, actually. The band's story began in the sun-baked suburb of Mesquite, Texas way back in 1994. Our heroes, David Dewese and Jerry James, stumbled upon an abandoned drum kit in a Sunday School classroom while home on college holiday. The discovery sparked a fervent series of elegant experiments in life and literature, noise and nihilism, with the results self-published via their first 7" single, the Silver Leaves e.p. (1998), followed by their full-length debut, Calcutta (AmPop 1999), Rodeo City (AmPop 2001), and Hesitation Eyes (Heatstroke 2005). The duo are currently writing/arranging/recording their 4th full-length entitled 'Bible Stories.'

How much do I LOVE August Moon? Foxys are my morning music lately, like caffeine, only it's not caffeine, it's great music.

Why does Swatch Japan have 1. cooler swatches and 2. more non-swatch stuff than does Swatch USA?

So tonight I had to spend about 6 hours doing this program called PeakFit, where I fit scattered X-ray data to a predicted curve. But the program doesn't do it FOR me, nooooo, I have to click, with the mouse, along the line of the graph. The more clicks I make, the better the graph fits to the data. And "we like a lot of clicks" (a quote from someone in this lab).
My point here is that while outwardly I was mired in tedious drudgery, I inwardly ROCKED OUT in all kinds of ways with the Foxys on Myspace!! I turned up the speakers until I could hear it out the door and down the hall. Thanks, Foxys, for keeping me sane.
