We have decided to take a break from doing ¡Forward, Russia! (for the near future)- for a lot of different reasons.
The last few months of inactivity has led us all on paths away from the band. I know that sounds odd, having released an album only a few months ago, but I don't think any of us were connected to the mechanics of its release. I don't know how it happened, but I want to thank all our management, the guys and gals at Cooking Vinyl and all the other people who worked on the record for putting all their efforts into the release of 'Life Processes' and apologise for our complete failure to engage in the release of it.
So to reach the present. Katie is moving to Nottingham in a few weeks, having taken the opportunity to do an art foundation course there (she's in need of a new 'posse' apparently, so get in touch if you can help).
Tom will be keeping busy producing some of the hottest young talent in the country, he's been doing a lot of work with a band called 'Minaars' - you can check him out at http://www.myspace.com/tomwoodhead - and you can get in touch with him at tdwoodheadgmail.com if you want to get in touch with him about producing your next pop record
From now until October? We did talk about releasing a Gravity & Heat EP, which may or may not now go ahead - certainly not in a physical format unfortunately. As mentioned it wouldn't have anything new from us, but we did ask a few people to do some remixes.
Apart from that, we have been trying to get together as many live bootlegs, session tracks and 'rarities' as we can, with the thought of putting as many as possible on our website for people to enjoy. This depends on £ and webspace, but we'll work on it and let you know how we do - hopefully we can do something by the time of the gig in October
Ticket details for Brainwash Festival, will be available soon, keep checking the websites above, as well as our own website, forum and myspace - we'll be lurking on the forum for a while yet I suspect

We’re doing a special on mixing and mastering this month,
So if you’ve got a recording that you need to get a great over all sound from, whether it be a home recording that just doesn’t match up to standards or a demo you’ve recorded at a studio and not had mastered, then give us a shout,
We can also re-mix existing recordings (as along as you have separate track files) so if you’ve got a song and it just doesn’t sound right or you cant just get those vocals to standard out, then let us know.
We are so confident that you’ll be blown away by our results that we will happily Mix or master one of your songs for free!!!!!!!
Mastering from £15 per track Mixing from £25 per track
You guys are a big inspiration to me and the sex radio peeps.
If we get big on our own label, support great bands like The Subways and We Are Scientists, release two great albums and play as many good shows as Forward Russia have, then we'll be content and ready to move on.
Thanks for all the help you gave me along the way whiskas. You're top.

Sunday 31st August Some Kind of Signal presents...
[sub]NOVA + Section 30 + Pray for Hayden + Martin Wainwright
LIVE :: Rock/Grunge/Emo/Hardcore [sub]NOVA is melodic aggressive grunge at its best, a swirling cacophony of hypnotic sound pleasure, with resonances of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains: "It’s easy to imagine [sub]NOVA filling stadiums. They’re tight, polished and deliver a huge sound." - BBC Raw Talent. Section 30 are York’s own rock monkeys, comprised of members of such get-ups as Nightproject, Arcana, and Falling Fifty Stories, Section 30 are fast, energetic and fervent. Pray for Hayden are coming straight out of the Leeds rock-circuit and whispers say they are destined for big things, with elements of At The Drive In, Hell is for Heroes and Hundred Reasons - confrontational and insistent (Powerplay rated them 8/10.) Martin Wainwright will be warming up the crowd with an assault of acoustic emo powerpunk, with a voice reminiscient of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.

The phrase 'indefinite hiatus but we're not breaking up' is generally the death knell for most bands. So I suppose I may as well bid you farewell - thanks for two great albums and three great gigs. You're really helping Cooking Vinyl maintain its reputation of being the place indie bands go 'to die'.
"before you've even seen it, the old horizons gone" Rest in peace forward russia, i never did get to see you perform life processes! i hope to see you on a stage again one day! All the best :)
you are here because you like good music. dont waste your time reading this. waste your time listening to the heli arc. you will not regret this! & thanks
