kara	Feb 21 2008 5:14 PM why are you taking it again? did you not do well the first time? was it fun? i hear that berkeley has one of the best gradschool english programs in the country. it's up there with harvard and yale apparently. i'm going to try to apply but i probably won't get in :( all i really have to brag about is a high gpa, the experience of studying abroad, and that of working for the california state treasurer's office. i am just wondering what my chances are.
kara	Feb 21 2008 8:48 AM it's really easygoing here. the semester seems shorter, we get two weeks off for spring break plus a week off of all our classes called 'reading week' when we're supposed to catch up on studying, the classes are more interesting, people party on week nights, there's a bar about ten yards away from where i live, it's pretty cool so far. can't speak for all of the uk though, because i'm just in oxford at the moment. i was thinking of going to summer school so i could graduate in the fall, but i'm not quite sure yet. are you still going to lawschool? did you take the lsats yet? do you think it's really competitive to get into berkeley for gradschool?
