   About Scott's Folkatorium
We will miss you, Scott.

Scott D. Fetterolf, 57, died Friday, November 23, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Elyria, Ohio and had been an area resident for most of his life. He received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Youngstown State. He had been employed by numerous agencies including Child Guidance, Greensburg United Methodist Church and was most recently the owner and operator of Scott's Folkatorium. He was a member of Rivertree Christian Church and was a member of the Extra Miler Club whose motto is "The shortest distance between two points is no fun", one of the many themes of Scott's life.

Scott has been described as an eccentric collector and an eclectic musician. While his favorite things to collect were license plates, bobble head dolls and fruit stickers, he was more importantly a collector of stories and people's hearts. Scott loved to take time for odd and amazing things, but most amazing was his love for God, family and every person his wandering path crossed.

Scott is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy (Lanham); daughters, Emily and Carly; mother, Dorothy (Hughes) Fetterolf; sister, Sallie Cherubin; sister-in-law, Debbie; mother and father-in law, Don and Erma Lanham; brother-in-law, Jim (Missy) Lanham; sister-in-law, Jane (John) Kennett; nine nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by his brother, Randy in 2002; and his father, Peter in 2003.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Greensburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Keith McLaughlin and Rev. Bruce Baquette officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. in Green). In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to the Haven of Rest or to a Scholarship Fund for Emily and Carly at any National City Bank Branch. (Anthony and Biscan, 330-899-9790, www.kakfh.com)

There is a great stage in the large back room, and in the fron you can browse through the collectibles, check out the upcoming concert schedule, and chat with amiable host Scott Fetterolf.

Sincere sympathy to Judy, Emily and Carly, as well as Scott's mother, Dorothy who I encountered numerous times at Scott's place. Scott was truly one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. His generosity and gentleness will provide me a fine example of how to treat others in my life. To say he will be missed is a huge understatement.

Scott's Folkatorium is great place for live music and to help folks get along! Dennis Crabapple McClain could really use our help being half a world away in deep trouble...a benefit show would help his friends help him and Christine, so far away...we can help!

Need a new T-shirt?
The Hiram College Library is inviting Northeast Ohio musicians the chance to swap a Hiram College t-shirt for their CD. We are trying to increase our collection of local music in all styles, including rock, pop, folk, jazz, gospel, blues, polka, and just about anything else you can think of. Everybody wins, because you get a t-shirt and a chance to tap a new audience, while we get to grow our collection.
Interested? Contact Jeff Wanser at the Hiram College Library, wanserjc@hiram.edu, or at MySpace, http://www.myspace.com/wanserjc.
