   Sandwich: The Short Film's Blurbs
About me:

Tommy Granger used to be one of Glasgow's most notorious gangsters until he walked from the criminal life. For years he has lived the quiet life until one day, one incident promises to pull Tommy deeper into his old life than he could possibly imagine. This is the story of Sandwich!

From Foghorn Films comes a Scottish short film about gangsters, revenge, family and Sandwiches! Sandwich stars Robert Harrison, Chris Somerville, Joe Cassidy, Andrew MacIntosh, Scott Kyle, Julie Pope, Gareth Hunter and Rebekah Lamb.

Are you keeping your camera busy? Have you made any little movies recently?

Looking for inspiration? Check out the short clip on my page. The Nintendo Wii doesn’t actually feature whaling or beheading games but it did inspire one video maker to put together a 2:40 runtime film based on the popular home video game console.

Here’s one I did a couple of days ago to showcase one of my 3D models:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=L8CTAPa6Yso

I thought it was as dull as paint, but it appears to have amused a few gamers.

If I can make a little movie then so can you, so get your lenses polished and get an entry in for the Cinema With a Big See competition. You never know, you might just get that £1,000 first prize.

After the success of the Science with a Big See competition, Cinema With a Big See is going Scotlandwide, online and open to films of all kinds.

In association with TayScreen, sponsor, Dundee Prototypical Simulations is working with Scotland’s own YouTube, ScotVid.com and this time there’ll be four prizes up for grabs – a total of £2,000.

Anyone over the age of 16 and based in Scotland can submit an entry in the general or science categories, as either an amateur or professional film-maker.

And it’s a great chance for film-makers to get their work in front of judges like top UK promo producer Simon PoonTip, whose company works with bands like Candi Payne and the View.

The closing date for entries is Friday, 1st February 2008. Go to ScotVid.com for more information or to submit an entry.

Sorry, only open to entrants resident in Scotland. But if that means you’re excluded, why not move north of the border to work or study. Come and find out why everyone is talking about Dundee.

Just dropping in to see what you were up to? I thought you might like to hear a new tune I wrote called "The Death of Cain" on my profile...it's pretty brutal. I think you'll like it...Anyway saw that you were online so I just thought I'd harass you a bit...keep it evil and keep in touch!

hey hey, hope you're well. please forgive another shameless plug, i thought it would be nice to go round everyone individually to spread the word...

'coming up for air' (previously unreleased track from 2003), and my record 'growing flowers by candlelight' are now available on digital download from i tunes worldwide (they'll also be on other download stores very soon).

'flowers' is also still available on cd from ainsliemusic.com, all branches of beanscene and edinburgh branches of hmv.

Make a Movie. Save the Planet.

The rise of low-cost air travel is probably the biggest single contributor to increasing CO2 levels in the atmosphere.

So, instead of jetting off on foreign holidays why not stay at home and make a little movie. You never know, you might just win the £1,000 prize in the main general theme category – and save a few baby polar bears from drowning.

Full details about the SWABS video competition will be out next month. Sorry, only open to entrants resident in Scotland. But if that means you’re excluded, why not move north of the border to work or study. Come and find out why everyone is talking about Cumbernauld.
