About FLYPPSiDE

BEFORE WE GET INTO THE BIO: I'm just a tad bit 'bummed' right now...I found out about a contest BET was having in callaboration with JD (Jermaine Dupri) of SoSo DEF about a week ago. At the time I thought 'CooL' so I downloaded the track that JD did and began to work on the lyrics/video. I came up with the concept/title/lyrics in about 15min and was done with the recording in less than an hour. I figured I'd go 'Above and Beyond' and instead of submitting a generic video on a spy-cam or hand-held cam, I'd create this Visual Wonder (with my Drawing Skillz) that would at least grab the attention of the judges. Well I found out today 9/4/08 that the contest was down to 5 finalist...which means that by the time I found out about the contest a week or so ago, it was pretty much a done deal. I'd planned to finish up the Vidd this weekend and send it in but....oh well. To look on the POSiTiVE side of things; I figure I'd go ahead and post my efforts on my player and give a 'sneak peek' into what I was creating visually. Since I've put tons of work into the Vidd (so far) I'm definitely gonna post it once it's complete. Also, as a note: This has all inspired me to go ahead with a 'Comic Book' idea I've been brewing for FLYPPSiDE that should also be pretty interesting.....Stay tuned, and by the way, I call the track 'FRONT DO' (actually it's 'Door' in my Southern Twang)...Enjoy!************************************* NOW the FLYPPSiDE Bio: I began rapping in 2003 to help fill a void between secular rappers and those who rapped using Positive and UPlifting lyrics. I have been a BELIEVER for most of my life, so I made a decision before I recorded my very 1st track, to never curse or degrade with my lyrics. Like a lot of writers, I write about personal experiences but I also like to write about things we may not think about day to day as we go through life. I've done a TON of 'shows' from packed out stadiums and gymnasiums of hundreds to a small crowd of 8....From the largest to the smallest I've given it my ALL because I totally enjoy being FLYPPSiDE and representing ALL that is POSiTiVE and UPLiFTiNG! We must always remember that LIFE is a GIFT from GOD.
