We are reminded of the story of DEMETER(Mother GODDESS Earth) in search of PERSEPHONE(KORE)her daughter. Persephone was stolen by HADES and became QUEEN of the UNDERWORLD. Accordingly, WINTER overtook “The EARTH’ as DEMETER was overcome with DESPAIR at the Loss of her Daughter. In time , DEMETER was helped by HECATE who showed her where her daughter was. DEMETER struck a deal with that SOMBER LORD of SHADES and He agreed to let Persephone return to the surface for a few months, to visit DEMETER. SPRINGTIME was the GIFT that was given by Persephone’s joyful return!
And so it is still today! Springtime is when we see again the unfolding of LIFE upon our Blessed and SACRED Mother Earth.
FLORALIA began in ROME and spread over the ancient world . The original festival started around April 27 and lasted through the first weeks of May. Today we still celebrate this JOYOUS occasion all over the world as MAY DAYand Mothers Day. We send FLOWERS to show our LOVE and ENJOY the Healing Essences that those subtle scents bestow.
FLORALIA , commemorates FLORA, the( GODDESS of FLOWERS) FLORA is the patron of all WOMEN as we embody her qualities of BEAUTY, and Youthfulness,(No matter WHAT our Chronological age!) Beauty is a manisfestation of “The Divine”. The Blossoming Flowers of Spring remind us of the blossoming of our Human potential on our LONG DARK Road to Higher Levels of Consciousness. More than 500 specialists are working to clean up 44 oil spills ranging from several hundred gallons to nearly 4 million gallons, the US Coast Guard said in an assessment that goes far beyond initial reports of just two significant spills..The report comes nearly three weeks after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, and reflects the fact that the Coast Guard and other agencies are able to only now tackle environmental problems since the search and rescue effort is winding down..
The Coast Guard estimates more than 7 million gallons of oil were spilled from industrial plants, storage depots and other facilities around southeast Louisiana
That is about two-thirds as much oil as spilled from the Exxon Valdez tanker in 1989.. But unlike the oil from the Valdez, which poured from a single source, these oil spills are scattered at sites throughout southeast Louisiana

THIS WAS AN OLD COMMERCIAL BACK IN THE 1970'S. Pollution is far worst now than ever including global warming, which McCain and Pallin adamantly denies exist. Pallin exploits the land ruthlessly, skinning animals alive-and anything for offshore drilling; McCain wants to DRILL! DRILL! DRILL! And experts say this is fruitless (the oil cannot be harvested for another 10 years and China will buy most of it anyway-you have to remember USA owes them Billions)
The legacy of this exploit the land mentality? We are going to have a country that requires oxygen tanks to breathe the air; and water will be so polluted it will look like pea soup soot--it is ALREADY like that in China. Trust me-it can and will happen. Your children will literally inherit a vast dump yard to have to live in
